Democrats, Republicans and Independents, can we just for a short time put our differences aside so that we can save the internet. We all love it, many of us wouldn't know what to do without it, but Barack Obama is trying to turn control of it over to the U.N., which means China and Russia will have major say so as to what will be allowed on it. We must all stand together and say no!!! Will you stand with me?

I believe you are correct. Haven't played that game in years. Won't run on a modern PC anymore. I would love to see a remake. It was a pretty awesome game. I think I'll try to contact Gearbox and see if they are interested. They've done quite a few remakes, including dungeon keeper 2.

Did you hear about that new kickstarter project? Harebrained schemes studios is working on a classic Battletech game for PC. This will be a recreation of the tabletop miniatures game. It's going to be turn based, with some gorgeous graphics and animations. I can't wait.

I didn't, but I am familiar with Harebrained, they do good work. I YouTube'd it the graphics have come a long, long way.

I miss Battletech. When I was in the Navy, we had a three day weekend while in port. We started a game that used six maps. We had six players, and each team had three companies of mechs, as well as support units and infantry. The game lasted two and a half days. Two and a half days without sleep. It was epic.

Oh, it was. We also had painted lead miniatures for all of the mechs. Don't know if you've ever played a tabletop war game before, but it's something everyone should try at least once.
