Abraham Lincoln, the president that emancipated the black population of this country, the president who Barry Soetoro most identifies with, WILL NOT BE HONORED by this president at the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address...WHAT AN ASSHOLE!!! :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf: :hunf:

You guys just can't help yourselves. Can we all just agree that Obama is a bad president - and move on to something else? I think that everyone is convinced already, at least, those who are going to be. :P

I don't know there are still plenty of people (yes even here in OPP) that still believe he is pure, incapable of wrong doing and is the immaculate deception, the annointed one to far-left z*****m leading the way to the new socialist promise land here in the new USSA.

I'll bet ol' Abe is glad of that. I wish Owebama would have stayed away from the veteran's memorial, it made me cringe.

Nope, Sorry bud, I personally will ride the village i***ts coat tails til he is impeached, charges are brought, he is removed or he does us all a favor and disappears. This man and his appointees are the slimiest, most unpatriotic bunch of scoundrels ever to set foot in our great country. This isn't a presidency, this is a war o 'ideas. Good luck progressives, hahahahahha

In my own personal opinion, with Obama being the first "black" president it seems in pretty poor taste for him not to attend. I have heard a lot of talking points on this issue with most of them being simple opinion (like him not attending because Lincoln was a republican). I always like an opportunity to bash Obama but I think this is going a little too far into a racial issue. So he is "black", does that somehow obligate him on its own merit?
Just to clarify my point, our 19th president Rutherford B Hayes (1877-1881) was the last sitting president to attend this ceremony according to park records. So is this an issue of p**********l responsibility or an issue of race?

Boy tough crowd you bash him for giving an address at Arlington and now bash him for not giving one at Gettysburg.

But you would think that because he is milotto he would wish to honor the president that made it possible for him to be president. But my bet is he detests Lincoln and doesn't want to acknowledge how great a sacrifice was paid by w***e A******ns for all men are created equal. He has to continue to portray all w****s as evil and oppressive.

I think the point is: the only people (generally) that post on this site already agree. Allow people to point out how wonderful he is and the posts will go to zilch. Or the Bush blamers will emerge?

Yes! By all means lets now move on to the "obstructionist" party....the party of "NO".

One could only imagine if past administrations had to put up with a Congress we have today...it is so easy to cast the blame being closed minded and never seeing anything that has a positive value only because it doesn't resonate with our preconceived notions. Right? Let us look at gas prices...when they are high Pres. Obama gets blamed but now they are under $3.00 a gallon and we don't hear a sound and look at Wall St. record highs ...now at over 16,000. Well we can BLAME Pres. Obama for that..,.RIGHT?

Pro-Life should be Pro-Birth because after they are born life starts which the Reps. have abandoned by fighting against maternity issues....they have abandoned babies after they are born.

Healthcare for all is bad... RIGHT? Well it is unless it affects me....RIGHT?

Talk about bad Pres....how about Reagan who decided, by Alan Greenspan's suggestion to raid Soc. Sec. for hundreds of billions and giving an IOU....because having cut taxes for his cronies from 70% to 28% brought the country close to bankruptcy.

And Pres. Bush who also hit Soc. Sec. And when Florida was caught in a bad hurricane Pres. Bush came to his brother Jeb's aid right away but when Katrina hit Louisiana Pres. Bush left it up to Brownie while he went to Cal. to play golf.

And the 2 wars that he lied about. And the second term that Jeb helped his brother win.

There is a list of so called 'bad' presidents....Carry on....

No one said Bush was perfect, please do not deflect to the past when what we must do is search for answers in the present

How does one grade something without comparing to its' history? What are the parameters? We know darn well that we individually compare to another which is natural.

So what are the answers that are valid without being biased? Or do we have to be biased?

He is said to be bad because he wants healthcare for all when we know the insurance companies gouge for profits. What is the alternative for ACA is it status quo... the present setup?

He is bringing us out of 2 wars ...is that bad?

He put in his budget trillions that was passed on to him that wasn't in the previous budget....it had been put on a credit card.

He is a proponent for womens rights...that shouldn't be bad....mother's, wive's and daughter's.

If one is a Republican, they don't collect Pres. Obama's accomplishments they collect the negatives.

Has there ever been a President that was 100% bad for the country all the time. If you ask his opponents they will say yes.

To be straight forward in grading him we would have to have an open mind and I don't think many could be found in politics.
