Is life pre-determined? The events of life, luck, both good and bad, the decisions one makes, death. Are these just random events, or have these events bee pre-determined, irrespective of the individual?
Think about your own life, and those you know, and reflect on why things have happened to you, both good and bad, and are you certain you could have changed the outcome.
The word luck is Labor Under Controlled Knowledge. We reap what we sew, good or bad. People who say that everything "just happens", everything is "luck" and that people have no control over what happens to them, usually are just making excuses for their failure. Obviously, we can't control every thing that happens to us, but we control how react and respond to them.
So, god gets credit when "good things" happen, and is always in control, but when s**t happens, god is nowhere to be found when earthquakes, floods, fires, murders, rapes, wars, assaults, death, pestilence and every other malady known occurs.
Makes perfect sense why people are so screwed up in their lives
DJRich, the opposite is true. God gets blamed for all that's wrong. People give themselves credit for all that's right, I can understand why you feel the way you do. I was there as a teen- ager, I knew everything and thought that God and religion were for weak people who needed to be lead around,couldn't handle life for them selves. But then I grew up, reality hit, and I found that I really didn't know everything. When I met the Lord, it changed my life. I see much more clearly now. I thank God for saving me and showing me the way. Some people h**e religion, they say its too narrow for there to be only one way to heaven. In reality, any one can go to heaven, "who so ever will believe in Him shall not perish, but have ever lasting life.(John3:16)

I had an uncle whom I dearly loved tell me once, "I'm not a believer in fate, but when I look at your life, I have to re-think that belief." He was a wise man of few words. Yet I know I created much of my own grief. It boils down to the decisions made by our choices.
Duh, read the Bible... it's all in THE book... God created everything... the universe, stars, planets, plants, animals, angels and humans. He gave angels and humans freewill. To accept and obey and be blessed or disobey and pay the price for dissing His love, guidance, and laws.
Satan rebelled, took 1/3 of the angels w/him, screwed up humans and k*****g them ever since. God told them to spread out and populate the Earth... man said NO we will settle in Iraq and build Babylon w/Nimrod as their ruler. Nimrod told them to worship him and different false gods. God reminded them He is the one true God and destroyed their tower, confused their language and scattered them and divided the Earth into continents.
Think of a rope made of three strands... one is the Father, one is the Son, and one is the Spirit... but it's ONE rope. Then think of a basketball... God is at the top, all the angels are a little lower, and humans below the angels... now think of the lines of the basketball being vertical and each line a different time period... Only God can see the whole picture... past, present and future.
Since all the different tribes spoke different languages now they scattered over the Earth, people tend to get along better when they speak the same tongue and look alike and have similar traits and skin color (think about the varieties of dogs but they all came from the wolf).
God knew all the stupid things man does is because of Satan and his followers... which is why it's said we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers and principalities. That's why He chose Abraham to pick out a people for Himself and then made them a nation Israel. But they were hardheaded
and stiff necked and wouldn't rein like a good horse should and He had to use spurs and a quirt from time to time. But like the true God He is... He can see the future and sometimes gives them clear easy directions and sometimes He gives little cues and nudges and sometimes He is silent. Jesus was a BIG neon sign that they missed. When you read the Torah or Old testament and see Lord and angel of the Lord in the same verse, it's referring to God and Jesus... and it's all over the place... but you have to read and study the Bible or as God says seek Him and you will find Him.
God told them in advance how long they would be exiled in Babylon but only Daniel seem to get it... told Abraham how long they would be in Egypt, told how long from the first exile until Messiah and they missed it. Told them that they would be scattered around world but one day He would regather them back to their homeland (70 AD to 1948) which God gave to them by covenant (His word). That's why the two state pipe dream will never happen. That's also why it almost never rained in Israel for almost 2000 years. God IS in control and keeps HIS word.
You don't have to believe God (one thing the True God can NOT do is LIE) like the god of the "religion of peace". That's how you know they are NOT the same god. But your life would run more smoothly if you chose too. Trust God, ask Jesus into your life, repent (turn and go the opposite direction)
be baptized by water AND the Spirit. Jesus is returning very soon, time for mankind is running out... the floods and earthquakes are increasing, wars are increasing, heads are being chopped off, the New World Order is just about here, people are aborting their children at record numbers, the dollar isn't backed by anything of value, and Christians are being k**led more today than ever before. The politicians, government, judges are more corrupt every day.
Time to accept God's word and obey... for there is no other way. Preacher once said this... pretend you've got a steel bowling ball... once every thousand years a sparrow flies in and lands on it for one second... by the time the steel bowling ball has eroded away... eternity is just beginning. I've burnt my leg on an exhaust pipe, hand on a frying pan, bar-b-q grill etc... no thanks. You may not think it's fair and you are your own god... but your are not... He is the creator... has anyone ever made anything out of empty space? He makes the rules, our only choice is to follow Him or rebel.
Choose wisely, you do have a soul and it will live forever... somewhere.
