You need a game plan

You need a game plan
There is an old saying; if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. To get through life you need a game plan. Going to church and dinners will not prepare you for life. No one will give you anything unless you are their child and they are taking care of you. But childhood doesn’t last forever. Just like you were a child in your parents’ house your children will grow up and have children of their own. College education is your own responsibility. It is easy to get into college and the rewards are very lucrative. Jobs do not call you unless you have gotten a rare skill. There is more to life than feeling good. If you spend your life in pursuit of fleshly pleasure then there is no difference between your mindset and that of a dog’s.

You need a game plan br There is an old saying; if... (show quote)

Actually, my dog does the perfect will of God and I don't. She can't do otherwise because she does not possess free will and I do. I understand and agree with you're saying but I have learned that when we typically compare some evil or unseemly human behavior to animals we are in error. Their actions have more in common with demons.

Plans are great to make, but at 67 yrs old, I know plans don't always pan out! One best know how to deal with what life throws at them and make it work. College is great and should be taken advantage of if possible, but there are many blue-collar skilled labor jobs that pay excellent wages and are needed in many areas. One of these is good skilled carpenters. They are few and far between at this point. And last of all, the Lord never meant for us not to enjoy life and going to church gives us fellowship along with a good sermon and bible study. 🙂

I never heard him say that. I didn't get it from him.

I apologize! Those words were constantly used by him.
