Obamacare navigators! You’re on Candid Camera!... …Conservative guerilla filmmaker James O’Keefe has another hidden camera expose. This time, his undercover agents played the role of Obamacare applicants who wanted to get taxpayers subsidies to help pay for their health insurance, but didn’t exactly qualify. The video appears to show Obamacare navigators in Dallas advising them on how to hide their income and avoid audits, how to lie about being a smoker to get lower premiums, and one even admits to lying on her own application. I thought they were supposed to navigate people through the rules, not navigate them around all the rocks of morality. O’Keefe promises more to come. But what else can you expect when a multi-billion dollar program is entrusted to people with two weeks’ training and no background checks? It’s just the latest in a type of story that’s become all too common these days: news that’s shocking but not in the least bit surprising.
