The Norberts could actually overdose on water, but only if it were salt water. Otherwise they could overdose on the chemicals that most tap water has. Many people suggest that fresh water aquarium fish should be provided water that has been through a reverse osmosis filter, never a water softener. And they also suggest that instead of just adding water as it evaporates, 1/4 of the water should be removed and replaced weekly, so that the mineral content does not concentrate too much. Special requirements for certain groups of fish (tetras need water with a different PH than cichlids for instance) a quick check on the internet should tell you what the PH of goldfish 's water should be, as well as the food requirements like little bugs for treats. I would suggest baby guppies but I know you would not like that idea. Do remember fish eat fish, but probably MrsB would prefer they get dead flies, k**led with fly swatter not spray.

Toads drink water off of the leaves dew at night, and they don't like to be immersed in water, they don't swim as well as frogs. You can give them a bath then let them air dry, no soap please. And don't let the dog lick them. Tank tried that once and Mr Toad sprayed him with something that must have tasted awful, he never did that again!

Norbie gets nothing but the best purified water that money can buy! We have well water, but that isn't good enough. Probably why he has lived so long, t***h be told. I hadn't thought about the fly idea. I'll try it when Mrs. B. Isn't looking sometime. 👍

I read somewhere that toads secrete something from their skin as a defense mechanism. It'll sure make a dog foam at the mouth!!

I appreciate that bb, but we have an ample supply here!
I am distraught because my favorite swatter of many years has developed a fracture!

I already got one bb. Gotta break it in. Get the handle bent just right, lossen up the deadly part some, and I'll be the fly sniper again!
