And I'll bet any amount of money on it. Not that there's anyway to win the bet, because it's subjective. Anyway, what I really h**e is a laggy internet connection. Usually, it's fine. But I get these occasional lag spikes that last just long enough to get me disconnected from wh**ever online game I'm playing. Usually when I'm doing something important. And it usually gets my character k**led. I really can't think of anything that is more frustrating. I haven't been driven to a homicidal rage yet, or at least there were no potential victims around when it happened. Can anyone relate?

It's happened to me as well. I've called the service to find out why seeing that I am paying for a boosted signal. When they check, they tell me I only have limited service. After I tell them they must owe me money, they check my service and say it was set low but can't give me a reason why, then they boost it back up and all the problems stop. This has happened several times. A few times,I lost important information.
I think they do it just to piss me off!

Sounds like a law suit to me. You're not getting what you pay for. Start recording your calls to customer service, then take them to court. Get every penny you can out of them.

I remember the good old days, when I had a cable modem. Talk about blinding speed. I wish I lived in an area with that Google internet. You can get Gigabyte speeds out of that, and the ping is in the single digits sometimes. Fiber optic is the way to go. You'll be literally surfing at the speed of light.

Don't know of any ISP that has a minimum speed it's 'up too' that you pay for. Say you pay for 75 Mbps you'll likely rarely see 75 but there are things you can do to help yourself like Registry edits to speed performance. It will depend on what your using for an OS, good cases are almost double your speed but it's more likely plus 10%.

The quality of your WiFi can be a factor also. Years ago I had a T2 line in my office and it was near instantaneous. Haven't had that speed since. Now programs are so sloppily built that it takes high speed to do most anything. The programmers just write over old programs and d**g the old garbage along.

Lock the door. I'm sure she'll understand.
