There is a thread you hold on to. It takes you through things that change only it doesn't change. People ask you what you are pursuing and you have to stop and tell them about the thread. As long as you hold on to it you can't get lost. Tragedies happen--people get hurt and even die. You grow old and suffer. Nothing you can do will stop time from unfolding. You don't ever let go of the thread.

That thread spins a very good life for most of us and we hang on to it very tightly so it can not be undone.

You have found the secret to happiness. It's always with you and always has been.

I'm suddenly reminded of something I learned in college about the novel form (I was an English major).
It was proposed that the function of a novel is to reveal the threads of connection between us all that are already there, but unrecognized.
This might not be what you were talking about, but I believe it to be true that we are all connected, and that the recognition of that is critical to a full and happy life.

Thanks! May all of your dreams come to you and the ones you love.

The thread is your life. Hang on to it. Hold those you love close to your heart. Life is quite an adventure from the moment of our first breath to our last.
