The Dixiecrats were for many who may not know Southern Democrats who left the party and formed their own party, the "States Rights Democratic Party" in protest against civil rights in support of racial integration being added to the Democrat Party Platform - With one exception they ALL returned to the DEMOCRAT PARTY - the exception was Strom Thurmond who yes, did join the Republican Party.

The Democrats have been the enemies of Black People since the inception of the Party with the exception of JFK.
However in spite of JFK they remain staunchly r****t - you don't believe so, then talk to a Haitian about the parties current p**********l nominee and her husband.

They just changed their tactics, now they ens***e b****s and other minorities through social programs which keep them dependent on government. And through this dependence they keep those who do work in financial s***ery to support them. This is Socialism and what Mr. Sanders is all about - he may look like a sweet little old man, but I thank God they did swindle him - He is one of the most dangerous men to emerge in the 21st Century - He is the man who could have taken this nation down.

You are also wrong about the Dixiecrats being around during the Civil Rights Movement. The Civil Rights Movement is attributed to JFK and the 1960's. The Dixiecrats arose from the actions of the DNC in 1948.
