Also the reality of things, isn't it major??? Disarm the military, police, secret service,FBI, CIA etc too..I mean if guns are bad for us then no one needs one...(sarcasm now off)

Yep. If scientists develop nano bots that can dissolve every single firearm in the country simultaneously, then gun control would make sense, otherwise - you're trying to save the Titanic by bailing the water out.

I am highly amused by gun control activists who insist that gun control works, who become flustered when I ask them how the "war on drugs" is going. 60 years, trillions of dollars, 100's of life sentences for drug dealers - and drugs are more prevalent than ever. Looking at that example, suggests that the best way to handle the situation is to legalized everything. When are people going to notice that we don't win wars anymore - and stop starting them? The war on poverty has had the same result, more poverty than ever.

The only war worth fighting and one we must not lose - is the war with ourselves.

That also means any and all congressmen and senators as well as the president of the US should advertise that they are a gun free zone and get rid of the armed security that protects them. Now that would be a major statement and we all know that they won't do it.

Robber With AK-47 Style Rifle Taken Out by Concealed Carrier at Waffle House in Dallas Suburb

Once again we see that the only thing that spoils the fun for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun:

A robber armed with an AK-47 assault weapon stormed a Texas Waffle House, only to be shot by a pistol-packing customer, police say.

Most likely it was not an assault weapon by an AK-style semiauto sporting rifle. But it would still not be a welcome site when brandished menacingly in a restaurant — particularly in a Dallas suburb, only a week after the massacre of five police officers.

Police say the suspect, believed to be 25 or 26 years old, entered the DeSoto restaurant and robbed the customers and business around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

A concerned customer and licensed handgun holder told police his wife was on her way to meet him at the establishment. Fearing that the armed robber could harm her, he told police that he confronted the gunman in the parking lot.

The confrontation did not turn out well for the unidentified robber. He is on life support.

Police have publicly released photos showing some of the suspect's tattoos in a bid to potentially identify him. Cops say the ink is spread across his arms, legs and forehead. The man is further described as black, around 6-foot-1 and 180 to 190 pounds.

Robbers are advised not to ply their trade in parts of the country where the Second Amendment is still respected.

Anyone want to claim him and take responsibility for his hospital bill?

I think I'm going to put at least one in our front yard. I just want to see the facial distortions if someone breaks into the house and is confronted by a shotgun wielding man and a woman with a 45 handgun. I mean a picture like this could be priceless. Oh and gun control ain't a bad thing, I mean all it means is using both hands on the gun and aiming straight.
