Hi All,We will ALL need a casket to be buried in,unless we are cremated (no thanks) but,in most funeral homes the casket prices start at over $5,000,,But,most large cities, have a Casket Store, where you can buy a very nice casket, for less than $1500.00,,and most stores, will store your casket (for a small fee) until its needed. Pre buying, may be the way to save your loved ones some money,to use for the bye,bye blow out party.

Years ago I had a friend who worked for an undertaker in Colorado. They had to take care of a six foot six Texan and did not have a casket to fit him. His family was upset and my friend was unsure of what to do so he turned to the undertaker for advice. The wise older man replied "he is a Texan son, just give him an enema" they buried the man in a shoe box!

you can purchase a casket at Wal Mart on the internet for $995.00. They will ship it directly to the funeral home. Not sure if they will store it for you.
