Don't Worry Be Preppy

The Leon River near Mother Neff State Park, is flowing full, and it's banks are painted with spatterings of wild flowers, new growth and winged critters of many species.

I'm camped on a rise under the shade of an old pecan tree and I'm writing this piece while I  rest on my cot after a breakfast of blue gill perch and home fried potatoes.

I can't get a signal here so I am unable to converse with my OPP bloggers.

So I thought I might use the notepad app on my phone, to write to you all and speak on a matter of my concern.

On Tuesday July 5th, I'm gonna go to a spot about 10 miles north where I can get a signal and post this thread.

Once posted, I will immediately return to camp.

The basic premise of this message is this.

BE PREPARED.

I joined the boy scouts when I was 12, and that motto has been at the forefront of all that I have experienced in my life since those wonderful days of my boyhood.

My friends, life is too short to spend worrying about things that we have no control of.

So instead of wasting precious moments in apprehension, use that time to indulge in pr********n.

Find yourself a place to escape to, where you and your loved ones can be totally secluded from the mass of population.

A place that is off of the beaten path and that allows you the ability to disappear into its natural surroundings.

Build yourself a simple compound and store the basic necessities of survival.

Go there and practice the art of survival so that if by chance it becomes necessary, you're already prepared.

My home is that place for me, but I'm writing you from one of my favorite hideaways located on one of my relatives' land.

Here, I couldn't care less who the president is or what is going on in politics, society or religion.

It doesn't matter one bit what the news of the world has to report.

I'm just not interested.

I'm here with God, the earth and its creatures.

When I retire, this is where you will find me.

And once that comes to pass, I may literally never be seen or heard from again, until the day I pass into the spirit world.

I've been working on a project in Houston and I have two weeks off until the next phase of the project begins.

So I'm gonna take advantage of every moment I have, to live free on this land .

I bathe in the river and along with my prayers it has washed away my sins as well as my worries.

I wish you all could be here and we could sit at my camp in peace.

That includes even those of you who don't care much for me.

Prepare yourselves my friends, and let not your hearts be troubled.

I've been thinking about this a lot. I just haven't decided on what will be needed. At the least, I'll need some way to get safe water to drink. I'm guessing a pot to boil water would do the trick. I'll also need a good knife...maybe a saw and hatchet too. Para cord. First aid kit. Fishing gear and some copper wire for snares. I'm sure I'm missing a few items, but I think that covers most of what I'll need.

Thank You my special friend..I do happen to know a fine gentlemen that speaks from his heart as well~~~

Wolf sure gave us a glimpse of what true living is all about...I find that spectacular..........

A time in our lives where more reflection of what is truly important and "real" is a need anymore...
Positive alwaysssssss outweighs the negative and in it we become "one" with our life, seeing its beauty...

For those whom choose to live in misery, I hope they find their solitude, eventually, anyway..Reading Wolfs story here will bring it if they allow it...
