This my first time posting, I hope this blog will be a better group than others I have read lately. I tryed posting at another site and was called rude names for posting my options. I feel that as an American we all have a right to voice our true feelings about the problems involved in our Gov't. In the past I've been a Republican, a Democrat and now I just register as "decline to associate". It seems to me the representatives we have in Gov't today do not represent "We the People", they represent the lobbyists and the large corporations. Our job as citizens is to get our Gov't back.
Thank you for listening.

hi...nice to read a post i agree with...lol....i too was a republican but because of the mess we are in i decided i am now a conservative constitutionalist....to me, that means i believe in not blowing "our" money on nonsense and i certainly believe in our constitution. " by the people for the people".....not" by the government for the government". :)

Welcome! This site is all over the map! There are name-callers here too. Some folks just don't know any other way. Too much "reality" TV maybe.

Wade on in! There are some very good posters too. I'm a firm believer in "eat the meat and spit out the bones".

I'm of the libertarian persuaion, and believe the Feds have taken on way more responsibilty than was intended by the framers of our Constitution and I'd like to see some of that responsibility put back on individuals.

If you wish to answer a particular post hit the "quote reply" button. That way we all know to whom you are repying.

Again. Welcome

Welcome. Name calling does occur here, as happens when people are truly concerned about an issue. It's still better than apathy, which is what got us into this mess.

Name calling is childless but people go disagree. All parties are here and I have seen nothing that I consider over the top.

Sit back, enjoy and Welcome.

Welcome to the discussion. You will find most here have serious concerns about the direction our government is taking us. Most here are civil, but there will always be those who cannot comment without personal attacks against those who disagree with them. You will learn who they are, so just ignore them.

Welcome... This is a Site where opinions & fact-checking do cross-paths but, for the most part, name-calling & slanderous chat is at a minimum... Hope You Are Satisfied...

Welcome aboard! I think you will find that many here feel the need to " label " people based on what they say. I too decline to associate but I use " nonpartisan " on my v***r r**********n. I say what I want to say and try not to engage the " labelers ". I'll never correct their misconception and don't really care about that anyway. Let 'er rip van winkle!

Happy to have you with us!! I was Republican from 1962 until 2010 when I realized that I have never really been represented in DC. The Republican politicians have been rolling over for the Democrats my entire life. I am now Libertarian because they champion individual freedom which is my primary interest.

I have blogged on other sites, and this one is FAR more polite than some I've been at, but there will be some name calling from time to time. As another poster said, that is better than apathy. Feelings run high on politics I believe because there is not a single thing about our lives that politics does not touch and interfere with.

In case no one has told you how it works here, if you want to reply to a particular comment, click on "quote reply", NOT on "reply". When you click on "reply", no one has a clue to whom you are talking. Hope you enjoy your stay and that you will make it regular. Looking forward to your posts.

Welcome on board and enjoy the fun. You will get called names on here usually by the liberal left but that is to be expected. Most of them follow Saul Alinskys rules for radicals and if they can't refute the message they have a tendency to attack the messenger. Happy to have you and just watch out for liberal trolls.

Bahmer, I wish more people would read "Rules For Radicals" by Alinsky. One cannot really understand Obama or Hillary Clinton until they do
