Because I followed God

I am now 53.I have been married, divorced, raised children, and stood on my own two feet and been a man since I was 17. The difference in my life has been I did my best to please God and avoid His disfavor. With God on my side every trap meant to destroy me disappeared like smoke, and my main claim to fame is I kept my money in my pocket and have always controlled my finances. Following and obeying God’s word has enabled me to grow up and stand up and be a man. Because I read and followed Proverbs I have always worked, which means I have always eaten and never been homeless. However many of my detractors live with their parents and have never had children. Because following God helped me; I know it would help everyone else. There is freedom in following Christ; freedom the religious community will never understand. Because I followed God, I have never been a drunk or junkie. When you police the bible, you are not following the bible. When you follow the bible, deceived minds will try to take advantage of you. In spite of this do the best you can to be as good as you can. Let God fight your battles. When they break contact with you the blessings stop. Following God will improve the quality of life of whoever you are involved with. If you follow God you will care for your children; you will also let your children grow up.
