Boycott the neutered Christmas holiday

I believe it is time we flex our muscle and begin to start fighting back.

When doing your traditional Christmas shopping this year wish every checkout clerk a Merry Christmas and if they respond with happy holidays, or we aren't allowed to use the word Christmas or any other response than Merry Christmas in return leave your merchandise on the counter and walk out of the store.

Even the mightiest of the mass retailers will be forced to stop supporting the destruction of our traditions, our religion and our country.

I've never said anything other than merry Christmas. I worry more about offending my God than I do about offending other people.

I have to wonder, as the Bible does not tell us when Jesus was born perhaps God didn't want us to celebrate His birthday. Perhaps by having Christmas you are indeed offending your God.

Merry Xmas is the cruelest cut of all. And, no I've heard nothing but Merry Christmas, although in my hometown, with a sizable Jewish population, Happy Holidays is also in order.

A court decision recently allowed prayers to God before public meetings In God We Trust is on all of our currency despite the word God not once appears in the Constitution. Our Founding Fathers were deists who would have blanched at the idea of "a Christian nation" many fundamentalists today claim.

PS: the Godless Obama administration supported the municipalities that pray before meetings in recent court filings.

Great idea. I'm s**k of being abused by atheist, who meddle in things of God. I don't go to their clubs and beer joints, trying to get them shut down. Leave us alone. We do not try to force the gospel of Christ on you. Christ didn't and we don't. We want you to accept Christ, but if you don't, you don't. That's is your choice. We want our right also. We pay taxes. If a Christian gets on a forum and start posting, a atheist or unbeliever, shows up and start with the insults.

I've never seen this before-atheists who abuse you on this forum? This is a free speech forum and anyone who denigrates your faith on it should be flogged.

Separation of church and state was designed to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. It stemmed from the English model of a state religion-in this case the Anglican Church- as the official state church of England.all other faiths were persecuted by the state, even outlawed. The Pilgrims were part of a religious sect that fled english persecution of their beliefs. Those of the Jewish faith were persecuted and even executed in England as well as many other countries. today, China persecutes all of those who practice Christianity outside of the state-approved church.

I do think churches should pay taxes. Most wouldn't pay as non-profits but the exemption allows organizations like Scientology to build huge, profitable businesses that pass as religions. As Scientology-founder L. Ron Hubbard said" "you really want to make money, start a religion."

This is not the only forum. I go on many Christian forums. Find some and post a Christian view and you'll find out what I mean. That's the reason I'm on this site most of the time. This site has many different subjects that get hot sometimes. Some name calling and a great amount of trying to put words in your mouth.

Amen to that. No, I don't go on many blogs or forums. I received an invitation to join this one, the reason i'm still trying to determine. Name calling indeed.

I feel sorry for atheists. Imagine that this world is it-when one dies, it is the end of existence. I can follow those who view the afterlife differently-I have a book by a woman who feels Christianity missed the boat on reincarnation-it's called "Many Mansions." But nothing? That would truly be hell-complete separation from God.

My big glitch with Christianity is the view that each denomination hold the only path to salvation. I was raised OPC and they taught me only OPC, and a select few southern Baptists, would make it to Heaven, not Catholics, no Lutherans, and certainly no Jews or non-Christian types. Call me a Doubting Thomas, but I'm not so sure. The "in my Father's house there are many mansions" thing can be interpreted many ways.

But no God? Good God, no. I believe somewhere in the new Testament is a line saying that those who never hear the Gospel yet see the workings of God through the wonders of nature will go to heaven. I'll have to get out my Strong's Concordance and chase that one down.
