Late Thursday evening, the Wall Street Journal reported, 51 State Department officials signed a statement condemning U.S. policy in Syria in which they repeatedly call for “targeted military strikes against the Damascus government and urging regime change as the only way to defeat Islamic State.”

“In other words,” as Zero Hedge summarized, “over 50 top ‘diplomats’ are urging to eliminate [Syrian Pres. Bashar al] Assad in order to ‘defeat ISIS’, the same ISIS which top US ‘diplomats’ had unleashed previously in order to … eliminate Assad.”

This Gordian Knot created by United States foreign policy — and intensified by that same policy — means not only could war with Syria be on the horizon, but if that happens, the U.S. could be facing a far more serious threat.

While discontented officials used what’s known as the “Dissent Channel” — “an official forum that allows employees to express opposing views,” State Department spokesman John Kirby explained in the WSJ — Saudi government officials employed more direct means to press their interests with the U.S. in Syria.

In a meeting with President Obama on Friday, Saudi foreign minister Adel al Jubair asserted, “Saudi Arabia supports a more aggressive military approach in Syria to get Assad to agree to a political solution,”

The Neocons ideas led to invading Iraq and disbanding Hussein's Sunni army, allowing the idle soldiers to be radicalized into becoming ISIS recruits. Now, the Neocons want to help the Sunni ISIS army eliminate two Shia countries, Syria and Iran. Then, maybe do they plan to make peace with ISIS after all the enemies of ISIS are eliminated?

Marvin!!! Finally you got something right. How did that happen? :-)

Who wonders why CIA funded ISIS in Syria? Why did CONgress add another $500 million in funding "insurgents" in Syria?

Global Research Publishers has launched the print version of Professor Tim Anderson’s essential book on Syria.

This important and timely book is available for pre-order now

Reviews:

Tim Anderson has written the best systematic critique of western fabrications justifying the war against the Assad government.

No other text brings together all the major accusations and their effective refutation.

This text is essential reading for all peace and justice activists. -James Petras, Author and Bartle Professor (Emeritus) of Sociology at Binghamton University, New York, Research Associate of the Centre for Research on Globalization.

Tim Anderson’s important new book, titled “The Dirty War on Syria” discusses US naked aggression – “rely(ing) on a level of mass disinformation not seen in living memory,” he explains.

ISIS is the pretext for endless war without mercy, Assad the target, regime change the objective, wanting pro-Western puppet governance replacing Syrian sovereign independence.

There’s nothing civil about war in Syria, raped by US imperialism, partnered with rogue allies. Anderson’s book is essential reading to understand what’s going on. -Stephen Lendman, Distinguished Author and Research Associate of the Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG), Host of the Progressive Radio News Hour on the Progressive Radio Network.

Professor Anderson demonstrates unequivocally through carefully documented research that America’s “Moderate Opposition” are bona fide Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists created and protected by the US and its allies, recruited and trained by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, in liaison with Washington and Brussels.

Through careful analysis, professor Anderson reveals the “unspoken t***h”: the “war on terrorism” is f**e, the United States is a “State sponsor of terrorism” involved in a criminal undertaking. Michel Chossudovsky, Director of the Centre for Research on Globalization, Professor of Economics (Emeritus), University of Ottawa....

Not I!!!
I have been trying for decades to get real conservatives to take the party back.
I v**ed for Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, and other 3'rd party or independents. Hopefully the jig is up on the internationalist neoCONS.
The "Left" has to wake up to the sham also. Hitlery needs to be sent back to Arkansas. Does Arkansas have any federal prisons?

Hillary will be a problem because she will want to wage air war on Syria and kick out Assad. Then she may want to attack Iran because Netanyahoo has to be obeyed. And the Republicans will go along with her. Where will the Libertarians stand? Many of them went along into Iraq.
