Time to get REAL.

So you are saying Reagan and all the rest of the Presidents who believe the same, are wrong!
He has stated it correctly. Our country does not command one to be religious or any of your other statement. As for the separation of Church and State, that was to prevent any State from establishing a religion of any type, upon the people. I guess you do not know that is why the Pilgrims moved to this country, to be free from just that kind of belief by a government.

I see you did not read my latest post. But you are right to a point. What Regan said was correct but only up to the point of it being in the Constitution.
Didn't people escape from Europe to the 'new' world to escape religious persecution. So they could freely believe as they wished without limitations. Several of the writers of the constitution were Free Masons, a society that believes in God. Every State constitution contains the word 'God'. There are religious symbols on virtually every federal and state building. I would think by this that we could claim to be a 'Christian' nation, however are open to all religious faiths. NOT to be dominated by any. The ten commandments were considered very much in the writings of the constitution, in relations to the freedom of the people and of the new beginning of our country. It proved to be the most successful of any nation on earth. It seems to have been the ignorance and complacency of people that have destroyed it and let it be destroyed. .... Just a thought
