Judge not (Matthew 7:1-5)

Judge not that ye be not judged.
Matthew 7:1

While the word of God is meant to be followed and not policed, we have this foolish idea that not allowing a confused pervert to use the bathroom with your daughter is judging. Protecting your children from weirdoes is not judging. The only people that we can insure follows the bible is us. This notion that you can understand one scripture and then teach others is the reason we are in the mess we are in right now.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 7:2

Brethren if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Galatians 6:1 People look for and delight in pointing out any perceived hypocrisy. The Greek word for hypocrite means actor. Real actors are admired for their lifestyles and they are the envy of the nation. But the republican right are always accused of being hypocrites with bad motives by those that kill children and legalize drugs and same sex marriage.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye.
Matthew 7:3

This scripture brings out three points.
If something is in your eye, you know it before anyone else. We know our sin better than anyone else.
A beam is bigger than your head, and will not fit in your eye. Which leads to three-
It is a bigger sin to point fingers.

Or how will thou say to thy brother; Let me pull the mote out of thine eye, and behold, a beam is in thine own eye.
Matthew 7:4

If you thought about it, the false prophets we are supporting have us expecting God to do something for us, instead of teaching what we should do for God. They have caused us to become divided, judgmental, and useless.

Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye: and then thou shalt see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:5

Finger pointing is a sin.

Judgment belongs to the courts and we are not to take the law into our own hands. God is the ultimate Judge, and not man. We are not to take vengeance or hold a grudge. Vengeance and our punishment for sin belongs to God. If we do not forgive God (for bad behavior and things said), then God cannot forgive us. We are only required to forgive those who truly repent. The rest are guilty and God will not forgive them.
