The Holy Ghost

Who do you think knows the Holy Spirit better? There is a difference between what we say the Holy Spirit does and what the bible says it does. Jesus says in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit would guide and teach us, reminding us of the words He spoke. This is important for two reasons: 1. The disciples were young when they met Jesus, and didn’t write accounts until decades later. 2. They wrote their accounts in Greek, but the bible was meant for all of God’s creation throughout all time. If we don’t read the bible, we don’t give the Holy Spirit anything to work with. You can’t be “reminded” of anything you have never been exposed to. It is taught that the Holy Spirit makes you utter words that neither you nor anyone else understand. That if you mouth gibberish, God will give you supernatural powers demonstrated by miraculous signs. We want supernatural, but don’t apply the simplest biblical principles to our lives. We expect God to heal, but are silent when perverts want to use the bathroom with our children. We want financial breakthroughs, but won’t keep our relationships together for the sake of the children. That is not how it works. To grow in Christ, you have to follow Christ and abide in Him. Read the word of God and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. The ideas taught in large churches are wrong and will make you useless if you try to use them. Religion has us expecting God to prove He is real to us while the morals of this country get worse with each passing generation. The spirit of God is contained in the word of God. Satan deceives the whole world. Proof of the deception is the fact that we have gay clergy. More proof is the fact that we think we can change sexes. It is impossible to change sexes. Science can cut off your penis, but it can’t give you a uterus. They can give you hormones that enlarge your breasts, but they cannot give you fallopian tubes. Jesus says the Holy Spirit will remind us of the words He spoke. This makes it important to read the bible. We can’t be reminded of something we never read.
