I used to live a couple of miles from the SEAL museum in Ft Pierce, FL, where the original WWII frogmen trained. I understand that Jesse boy is no longer welcome at SEAL renunions, especially since he never completed the SEAL training. He was UDT. Later the two were lumped together, but he did not complete the entire training. He also never saw any combat in "Nam.
That's a little bit different from Chris Kyle, with 2 Silver Stars and I believe 5 Bronze.
