It was said that John Wayne might have been radiated during filming of 'The Conqueror" (when he was miscast as Genghis Khan) in the Utah desert in 1954...

Possibly. He was also a heavy smoker, and didn't eat the world's healthiest diet. It might be interesting to find out how many of the cast of that movie died of cancer. I think I'll check it out. I'd completely forgotten about that.

Just found out this:




People magazine researched the subsequent health of the cast and crew, which it published in November 1980. By the time of the article's publication, 91 of the 220 members of the film's cast and crew had contracted cancer, and half of these had died from the disease.

The picture in the link I posted showed Wayne with his 2 sons and somebody with a Geiger Counter on the set... Yes, very interesting.

We here on the California Coast are still dealing with being nuked by the Japanese when the Fukushima melted down... Those large explosions, blowing the top off of one of their reactors...

I just posted them. According to People magazine. 91 of the 220 cast members had contracted cancer by 1980.
