A Damascus steel straight razor. Is this thing a beauty, or what? And it's only $92.00

In case you don't know what Damascus steel is, it uses the same technique they use to make Samurai swords. They fold the steel, over and over again. Best quality steel you can buy.

Also used to form gun barrels.

Are you sure? Gun barrels don't show the the water pattern like that razor, or a Samurai sword does. You must be thinking of something else.

The old Damascus twist barrels are dangerous to shoot modern loads in them. They tend to blow up as they are not strong enough to withstand the pressure. They are beautiful though.

You didn't read the article. They still make them, and they can handle black powder loads just fine.

You are correct as I did not take the time to read the article but Black powder is not near as strong as modern loads. I have an old double barrel rabbit eared shotgun and have to be very careful what I shoot in it due to it having a Damascus barrel. They recommmend using it as a wall hanger. Beautiful gun though.

Sure is, though I prefer blades. I want to get Damascus Bowie knife. And I wouldn't hang that on my wall.
