Self Acceptance...
SELF ACCEPTANCE:

It is strange how we can go to school and learn lots of facts, but never learn much along the way about our true selves. We can take up nursing, teaching, counseling, and giving ourselves to the needs of others, & never learn how to have our own needs met, ..... let alone meeting them ourselves
Why does it seem as if it is easier to solve the problems of the world than to solve our own problems? We simply don't know ourselves very well. Most times, when we look into a mirror and attempt to understand ourselves, our conclusions about what we see & think are usually very different from what a friend sees & thinks. This often takes a serious & usually difficult to attempt, ..... type of introspection. When we finally take some 'alone' time and we make ourselves the priority, we make a startling discovery. We find there exists within us at the deepest level & at all times, a Higher Power that is the builder of all successes & things good. We then recognize this Power to be our comforter & our strength during times of trials & tribulation, despair & loss.
I can now begin to understand myself in relation to my Higher Power. The image I see and the identity I have, ..... is then one of humility before that Power. This humility now becomes my acceptance of myself, as I now see & understand myself ..... today.
