Best two lines: I agree with him (Gary Mason, author) that it was a great and uplifting event for a non-Caucasian to be elected president and a testimony to the liberality of mind of the American public. There cannot be a more absurd reason to v**e against someone than a candidate's race or pigmentation. No, Carter was the most incompetent President of our time... At least go back to Nixon who was actually a good president except for his paranoia...
My ranking would be...
Obama... Worst.. The damage he has done will last for years
Carter... Iran Hostages and inept. He did get Egypt and Israel to sign a Peace accord that lasted until Obama's Arab Spring
HW Bush... Signing Agenda 21, Iran Contra, EX CIA Director (too many secrets)
Clinton... Lies and Impeachment, NAFTA and Married (joined at the hip) to Hillary
GW Bush... Not able to line item spending bills , Did not reign in Pelosi, Reid, and the Frank/Todd housing bill.
Nixon... Watergate, Yet ended the Viet Nam War and opened trade with China. (to bad that we negotiated bad trade deals with them, later)
Ford... The Economy tanked and gas prices soared (OPEC) yet he did pardon Viet Nam Draft Dodgers (Healing some of the wounds.)
Reagan... Best... Standard for a Conservative (Pretty good for a B-movie actor)
LBJ... Passed Civil Rights Acts, and Social Security, yet escalated the Viet Nam War.
JFK... Popular but didn't get much done. The Sanctions against Cuba in Oct of 1961 (He made sure an aide got him a case of Cuban Cigars before he signed it... Didn't have time to smoke all of them.)
