Oh, Get this: In VT there is Norwich U. - a "military" school which just this week is allowing full-cover head-to-toe baggy dress complete with identity-hiding muslim garb of all kinds because one muslim cadet 'needed' to dress traditionally. Never mind OUR traditions, let us alter the cultural behaviors of 99.999999% of the population for that very important .000001%.
"Justification" for the school's changing the dress code was because the Jewish students wanted to wear the little beanie.

DISCLAIMER: My info was garnered from a radio newscaster.. so...

I believe! The entire world has lost its sanity and just when we think that's it, something else some other 1% is offended by. Well, I'm beginning to be a little bit more than offended. I'm really angry as every American should be.

Absolutely.. justifiable anger is understandable. You and I belong to a group of powerful individuals who have been held back.. kept down... discriminated against for roughly seventy years and the pot is about to boil over.

Terrible things could be the result as once cornered as we are, *stuff* can happen.

In reconsidering, you wouldn't believe me if I quoted George Washington with his own voice and words,

No actually if you read my post again I invite you to provide some sort of scholarly work that would support your opinion, or at least that was my intention. I am well read on the subject but I would not call myself a scholar of the Civil War or s***ery and this was an opportunity to learn something new. Unfortunately your follow up was more about doubling down on your earlier defensive riposte than bothering with something solid, leaving the impression that you do not have anything.

I regret that I misunderstood your motive. I've read so much and heard so much. When I was a small child, I knew a woman who was my grandmothers older friend. She died in
Late 1950s, over a hundred. She was born, married, had her child and lived in the same house her whole life...through the civil war and her recollections I'm sure colored my ideas and opinions. For some reason she liked me. I was a quiet child, sick all the time which may have had something to do with the time she spent with me. I'm sorry that I have nothing more concrete to present. So, nothing you would consider solid. But it is to me. Now that I've read what Adm. Lyons had to say, we may have more than past history to be concerned about.
