Remember what I told you about the Prophecy of the city of Tyre? This explains exactly how you are wrong. Every part of this prophecy was fulfilled, exactly as it was recorded. The Prophecy even mentioned how Alexander would use the ruins of the city to build a land bridge to get to the Island. If this does not convince you that this prophecy is from God, then there is no help for you. You will burn in Hell, and deservedly so.

I read about the city of Tyre, the Romans building a causeway out of the rubble from the land based part of the city, to it and its destruction with the prophecy that it would never again be built upon and inhabited. That was in 1961 in Garnered Ted Armstrong's
World Tomorrow Magazine while in Army basic training at Fort Hood Texas. Peter should be made aware that this is only about 1/1000th of the accurate Bible prophecy that has already been fulfilled. All you have to do is learn enough about Bible prophecy and you will realize with depth that there is no way that the Bible is not true, accurate and God's word. No faith necessary --
You Will KNOW! Unfortunately liberals don't check it out and do the research. They run from that kind of information --- unwittingly to their
extreme detriment.

It's unbelievable! I'm providing historical facts, in the other thread, and PeterS is calling it a bunch of bunk! That's a HUGE set of blinders he's wearing.

They also have the ability to look at a circle and swear it's a rectangle. And if you don't agree you are stupid, vermin, and everything wrong in their life is your fault.

The name Tyre means rock and is named for the rock island upon where it was originally built.

I believe that the mainland city of Tyre was named for the Fortress on the Island.

All right, Pete. I unblocked you. Now, would you like to comment on this article? Assuming you read it, of course.

Are you expecting him to comment on material that proves him incorrect?
To possible outcomes.
1. He refuses
2. He says it is bunk.
It is not in him to admit he is wrong. That would shake his paradigm.

It's the daily secular liberal progressive morning talking points, wuz; carried by the "lap-dog, state-run, drive-by, alphabet channel" MSM. You can look at ANY of the 90+% of secular liberal progressive syndicated papers or alphabet channels, and NEVER miss a single word or context of the message. I've actually set my TV to the ABC, NBC, MSNBC, etc., stations, and I suppose so nobody misses the EXACT liberal scenario, the vernacular and minimal sentence structure is never varied on the days topic. You can flip alphabet stations back and forth while looking at the PBP [NYT/SPT/CST/SBT, etc.] and never miss the conscious and subliminal message [even in Spanish], of the despicable Republican Party, bad, bad, dishonest, inferior, unethical, disreputable, deplorable conservative ANYTHING, and the pulverization of any current Republican conservative, patriotic, Constitutionalist, Judeo-Christian or American who happens to be doing anything in opposition to a secular liberal progressive candidate, ideology or agenda. The rest of the information is pro wh**ever the reprehensible Republican was against; and vice versa. No ifs ands or buts. Correctomundo, wuz, it's in the heredity and DNA. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUMP!!!
Interesting thread and comments. Wish I knew what it is this Peter guy said that would have caused a blocking? I didn't know this site offered such a thing.
I am fascinated by the stories of the Bible and this one especially considering my families homeland is Greece.I took interest with this topic years ago with many family squabbles over it.
Two important counterpoints must be made: (1) Nebuchadnezzar didn't finally defeat Tyre.Tyre was a stronghold on an off-shore island, and Nebuchadnezzar's 13-year siege (587-574 B. C.) against it failed, as even recited in general encyclopedias. Nebuchadnezzar succeeded only in capturing the mainland suburb, which was known as Ushu, but that certainly didn't require 13 years. The mainland area was taken without difficulty, and then the unsuccessful siege was directed against Tyre proper, which was the island stronghold. Nebuchadnezzar finally withdrew his forces after securing a Tyrian agreement to pay annual tribute to Babylon, but he did not capture the city much less destroy it permanently. (2) An aerial photograph of modern Tyre, which shows the former island part covered by a town that is much more than just the "small fishing village", does not confirm it has remained abandoned or not rebuilt. It is not a bare rock at all, to lay forever that way. What the photograph shows that the city has been almost continuously occupied from the third millennium B. C. until the present, except for a major gap from 2000 to 1600 B. C." Probably due to all the time fighting over it and no one wanting to start another? I don't know.
Do I believe the Bible, I do. Do I believe everything in it, I do not. Admit this one has always left me wondering as time moves on do the cycles of prophecy finally fulfill them-selves. Yes, I think it does.
