Cooperation Not competition is the heart & soul of man kind.

We advance as humans though cooperation with each other.

With too much competition we lose much of what we have gained.

We can only improve our well being with cooperation.

true but we seem to only want to cooperate with those that share our prejudices thereby negating what cooperation means.

Competition is for games. Running our country is not a game and no one should hold the government hostage for any reason. The Gipper and Tip knew how to compromise. Both great men that did great things for this country.

I believe we were talking about cooperation, not compromise. They are not the same thing. Cooperation means working TOGETHER to accomplish a goal, such as, getting this country out of it's hole. This political party childish animosity makes cooperation impossible.

Alex's comment would still have validity even changing the word compromise to cooperation.

I don't think the republicans are s***es to anything ( other than their corporate sponsors of course, same with dems ). I think this is planned in advance - like wrestling.

I find the continuing theme of "republican" and "their corporate sponsors" terrifically amusing. Did I miss the notice that Hollywood and Wall Street no longer had any corporations; therefore, all the donations and Democratic Fund Raisers being held have nothing to do with "corporations"' correct?

you did not notice I included democrats in that " corporate sponsor " comment? Or did you choose to ignore that because I said something bad about republicans? That's part of why no one can work together any more.

I did notice you included them. It is one of my "hot buttons" that the consistent message is only Republicans have corporate sponsors. So many believe because Democratic Fund raising events are held in private homes, it is only "private" donations not "corporate". Where do those pea brains think those "private" individuals monies came from, the maple tree out back?

they don't think at all I'm afraid. You're explanation was reassuring. Democrats are much sneakier at their money raising and nastier.

I am going to veer off topic. There are several forums up about lying. I will take your "sneaker" and go wonkie (neologism). Part of the "sneaker" on lying is they repeat the lie over and over and over and over and over ad infinitum. Because a majority of people would not repetitively lie and lie and lie and lie, people begin to believe the lie they are hearing is true. Yes, the Republicans tell lies; however, the majority of the media seek to find their lies and lay them bare.

By the by, I am frequently known to go sideways wonkie.

I can handle that, I'm married. I agree with your analysis. I assume everything is a lie, or only partial t***h, until I can see proof. I've been called a raging skeptic but I think that's mostly due to the fact I have that sewn on all my clothes.

Hmm. Maybe both, because I do see this in my sleep. I don't believe anything I say to myself, at first.
