Being born a living person in this world is an amazing gift. And a spiritual awakening promised by this program is open to us. But today, not all of us feel powerful and alive. We may feel weak, inadequate to our task, perplexed, or stymied. Is this a day in which we are filled with exuberance for the gift of life? Or is this a day when we're feeling subdued by life's burdens?
Perhaps we need to evaluate our perspective. Are we trying to control something or someone? Are we acting as if the world should be as we want rather than as it is? Have our individual wills exceeded their natural bounds and spoiled the simple joy of just being ..... "without further function"?
May I find the pleasure, joy and exuberance today that come with being alive. The simple power of being a living person is "omnipotence enough."

It's nice to see you posting over here 'in the quite corner.' I always enjoy what you have to say. I definitely don't feel powerful and some days are larger and longer than others. I find myself praying for the Lord to help me cope and accept the things that just ARE. It's always good advice to enjoy and appreciate the day that the Lord has given us! Thanks.

As I've gotten older and after open heart surgery 5 bipases life is very easy to enjoy... Don D.

I understand! My husband has some life-threatening problems. I think twice before I snap at him or get angry over something inconsequential. I say "I love you" more often and wake up with a smile and go to bed with a smile. The little things are so much more important than they used to be. I want to make every day a wonderful day for him. I'm glad you have the wonderful outlook on life that you do! I know what that means to your loved ones.
The purpose of life is life itself. God created us because he was lonely and it is his intent for all of us to transcend this physical earthly existence and enter heaven when we die. God is the King of the Universe and he will reign and rule on earth forever. A king is not a king without a kingdom. It's not that hard to get into heaven, all you have to do is repent. Remorse, confession, restitution, and change.
