The Fear Behind Paul Ryan’s Dirty Tricks

By: George Rasley, CHQ Editor

#DumpRyan

Nothing demonstrates the bankruptcy of Speaker Paul Ryan and the Republican establishment better than the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s decision to prohibit Ryan’s challenger, principled limited government constitutional conservative businessman Paul Nehlen, from having a table at the upcoming Wisconsin GOP Convention.

Nehlen’s campaign committee, Volunteers for Nehlen, was perfectly willing to pay the $400 table fee RPW asked for convention weekend. Apparently, though, the idea of a challenger to Paul Ryan was so threatening to his RPW buddies that they turned Nehlen down flat.

Keep in mind that as far as we can tell, no other alleged “Republican” group or campaign, such as the homosexual Log Cabin Republicans or the pro-a******n, big government Main Street Republican Partnership, was prohibited from buying a table – only the Nehlen campaign was singled out for exclusion.

Paul Nehlen, who has been going around Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District with a big yellow “Dump Ryan” dump truck seemed to take the exclusion with equanimity.

“My team and I actually chuckled over RPW’s response,” said Nehlen. “Competition only threatens you if you don’t have what it takes—if you know you can’t stand up to the scrutiny of a comparison. That’s the position Paul Ryan is in. His rhetoric no longer matches his actions. He’s failing the citizens of his district and the people of the United States. Folks want an alternative. We’re going to ensure that they have one.”

“The RPW’s refusal to let us purchase a table is just more evidence that the corrupt, establishment GOP that Paul Ryan now leads is no longer about freedom of choice at all,” observed Nehlen. “Instead, Paul Ryan’s GOP is about limiting and dictating choices—in markets, in e******ns, in how you live your life. For all his fine speeches about the rights of the individual, free markets and unity, Emperor Ryan is wearing no clothes.”

If this kind of behavior were merely limited to the Wisconsin GOP’s Convention, we might conclude that it was merely the Badger State’s Good Ole Boy network protecting their pal.

But it’s not, because this is how Paul Ryan and his predecessor and mentor John Boehner have run the House Republican Conference.

Time and again conservative amendments have been ruled out of order or have been stripped from bills in the Rules Committee by its Chairman, Boehner do-boy Pete Sessions.

And conservative ideas have been systematically excluded from being presented to the House Republican Conference and on the Floor of the House because Ryan and his establishment do-boys understand that conservative ideas – and those who advocate them – win, and if conservative ideas win, the Big Government Republican establishment loses.

“Isn’t it revealing that Paul Ryan—a politician who’s long said he’s for free markets—allows his establishment friends in the Wisconsin GOP to protect him from competition in the political marketplace?” asked Paul Nehlen.

Yes, it is, and that’s why the Nehlen – Ryan contest is much bigger than who gets the Republican nomination in one congressional district in America’s heartland: It’s about whether, going forward, the Republican Party is the political home of America’s limited government constitutional conservative country class citizens, or an oligarchy of insiders who are so fearful of competition that they won’t even allow conservative ideas six feet of table space at their convention.

Thank you for sharing that post, what's sad is its true we have a constitution for all people and what is sad the constituion as interpreted by the GOP and is not a document that I ever read. I purchased three addions of (THE MEANING OF THE CONSTITUTION) written by Angela Roddey Holder and John Thomas Roddey Holder. It's time these extremist read these books not difficult to understand and it also gives examples and how some of the issues were tested in the SCOTUS. But no I guess Paul Ryan who is nothing but a fraud and a Lying SOB you can't believe anything that man says. I question Wisconsin v**ers. Paul Ryan and Scott Walker are 100% supported by the Koch Brothers.
Again thank you for taking the time for your topic. I hope you don't suffer through a bunch of insults and get actual common sense feedback.

sicilianthing-looks like we might have another Boehner as speaker. If Ryan is a conservative then so is Bernie. The establishments on both sides of the aisle need a thorough cleansing. Similar to that of the presidency, we need term limits of 8 years in Congress and the SCOTUS. It is time to get rid of the geriatric set permeating all levels of government. These entrenched bureaucrats are in the game for themselves and the system allows them to ride the gravy train for decades without even having to expend the effort to ladle the gravy. The people of this country have had enough and thus the reason for Trump's and Bernie's popularity. We neither need a Bush nor a Clinton back in the White House. Keep plugging. Good Luck America !!!

Politics used to be the art of getting things done, but has taken on a life of it's own, whereby it seeks to protect and proliferate itself. Power, the collection of and protection of is the single focus. Not the use of that power, except as a means to the previously mentioned motivation and certainly not used as a means of fulfilling one's oath of office.

Gaining power is focus #1, which morphs into keeping and increasing power - and that's it. Once some measure of power is obtained, the only use that it will be applied to is the keeping and increasing of that power. So - there is no surprise here. This is how power is used.

What freedoms have you lost you make these statements so back it up with facts. It seems to be the norm on OPP just make statements out of talking points. I can't think of one freedom point that I have lost. It's all the GOP circle of noise. I
