As many of you know I served in the Navy (1960 -1964)
on two Aircraft Carriers the USS Lexington (CVA-16) and
the USS Essex (CV-9) while in VS-34...
My son did 20 in the Navy so whenever I see info
about the NEW Navy I just have to post it... Don D.

I hope it's name sake hasn't cursed her, causing her to run aground and sh*t. p.s. I watched the USS Ranger run aground once coming into Miramar. Her Skipper was relieved and removed from the ship before she ever got her keel out of the mud. Turns out the arrogant SOB wouldn't let the pilot do his job and brought her in himself.
