Verse 12 and 13

You can put no limit on the Holy Spirit. It can be everything I imagine, everything you imagine and more. We can all be right and not come close to scratching the surface. When these children of satan get in power or win an election, they will have no principles but getting satan’s will of stealing, killing, and destroying accomplished. If God is for it they will be against it, but if God is against it they will be for it. The only thing they value is fooling the gullible and they are all liars.

Verse 14

They may appear to win, but they really don’t know what winning is. They don’t understand God, God’s word, or God’s children, they really don’t understand the bible although they worship, they don’t know what god they are worshiping. God’s children can do a lot with a little. When satan comes fooling the biblically illiterate the children of God will be persecuted and some killed. When God takes over earth satan’s children will unite together against God and His children but they will lose badly and convincingly.

Verse 15

These are gentiles. Christ describes His disciples as the salt of the earth. Water is unstable. It takes the shape of whatever container it is in. You can’t build on water. You have to find solid ground. The earth may represent those whose lives are more stable because they make better decisions.

Verse 16 and 17

Satan hates God or anything that wants to worship God. He wants to be looked at like he is God but has never created anything. When political objectives are pursued with religious zeal bad things happen. Church and state should remain separate. At the same time freedom of religion should not mean freedom from religion

Verse 18

We are not talking about a person but an idea in the minds of people.
