With all of this nonsense about non-g****r specific restroom practices as displayed with the Target fiasco, I can't help but think..."What's really going on here?"

"They" constantly have us arguing amongst ourselves on issues in order to keep us distracted from what they're really up to. Today, it's restroom access, Trump, B*M, i*****l i*********n, gay marriage, Hillary's guilt/innocence, islamophobia, safe zones on campus, socialism and "free stuff", religion and on and on and on.

It seems they never run out of topics for "We The People" to be divided on. We're constantly being pitted one against the other: Right v Left, Rich v Poor, Black v White, Man v Woman, Religious v non-religious, gay v straight, etc, etc. The Titanic is sinking and we're all arguing over what china to put on the table in the dining room.

Here's an example of what they do: Housing bubble of 2007-08. Lenders put out risky loans to people that could ill-afford them in the first place...in large part, because the government forced them to. Thanks Bill. And, in spite of warnings from Congress, they kept on until the bubble burst. And what was the solution? TARP and later, Stimulus package. Both were to the tune of about $1 trillion each. They created the problem and then after much gnashing of teeth, came up with the "solution" to save our economy. Brilliant. We're so easily manipulated.

Don't throw out the baby with the bath water. Some folks created the problem; others tried to fix it. The stimulus stopped Great Depression 2.0.

Don't worry so much about gummint spending:

Debt cannot be a problem because a Treasury check never bounces. While it is true that debt turns into cash on maturity and that there can be too much cash in circulation, we have no foreseeable threat of inflation despite the Fed's efforts to reflate. Her is why (with an explanation of Weimar):

Harmful inflation (4%?) is the only limit to Congressional spending.

The proper budget balance is "Deficit spending = Annual private savings + Trade deficit. In plain English, money entering circulation should balance money leaving circulation.

This bathroom issue has been taken care of with common sense for hundreds of years - now it's a problem. The only criminal complaints I have been able to find relating to bathrooms/locker rooms, have been against men using the men's restroom - for which these laws do absolutely nothing. The brilliance of the NC law, is what is contained in the bill AFTER the restroom part, which no one paid any attention to, because they were intentionally distracted by the bathroom clause. The REAL purpose of the bill, was to allow employers to hire and fire as they see fit, for wh**ever reason they choose - and deny legal relief for those affected. Your secretary won't have sex with you? Just claim she's a lesbian and fire her. Looks like Bob will get the promotion YOU want? Just accuse him of being bi-sexual, claim he made at pass at you and get him fired. Easy peazy.

It's called legislative sleight of hand. The legislature here used the same technique in 2014, fronting a bill that starts with and is titled "legislative ethics", but which contained a clause that removed all term limits, a clause that allowed the legislators to set their own salaries and a clause that pulled the teeth of the original ethics restrictions - and it passed - because very few bothered to read past the first paragraph and saw the trick. I did, but no one listened to me, until it was too late.
