(Verse 15 through 18)

Israel is called Jeshurun because they got spoiled by the luxury of being protected by God. They got food not by their own effort but God simply gave it to them. They were spoiled by not providing for themselves. With so much extra time they made gods and gave the images they made credit for what God did. They were really sacrificing to demons. They paid no attention to the God that made them. What really happened was as long as Israel had an anointed leader of God like Moses or Joshua they followed God for the most part. After a couple of generations had settled in their homeland which had never seen Moses or had not witnessed the miracles performed by God they turned evil.

(Verse 19 through 21)

God doesn’t initiate but He does retaliate. God turned His back on His children because their character got worse and worse with each passing generation. When they got too disgusting God divorced the children of Israel. He divorced Judah about 200 years later. Read the 17th chapter of 1 Kings.

(Verse 22 through 26)

These people that say God’s love is unconditional have never read these scriptures. God is jealous and expects obedience. 1 Corinthians 7:10 quotes God as saying a wife should not leave her husband. It is silly to disobey God and expect to prosper. America has no excuse for a high divorce rate. God hates divorce. If He says He hates it then we cannot call ourselves one nation under God unless we do what He says. To obey is better than to sacrifice. All of this singing and dancing is a waste of time if we murder children.

(Verse 27)

God cares about what is said about Him, even those who are enemies of His children. God’s spirit is defined by God’s word. We have to make a choice whether we will make emotional decisions or think before we speak or act. Satan has deceived the whole world into thinking a relationship with Jesus is possible while we ignore everything He said and did.

(Verse 28 through 30)

We should think about our lives and what is happening. We would not have prospered as a nation if we didn’t want to read and obey God’s word. Now we are condemning normal relations and legalizing same sex marriage. Every show on television encourages promiscuity and this country no longer values morality. Every moral person is made out to be insane. There will be no future in socialism. You can choose any action but you cannot choose consequences. Socialism has ruined and will continue to ruin every country it is tried in. If America becomes socialist it will cause a brain drain the same way it did in Russia. Things should make sense. If too many bad things happen to you at one time something supernatural is going on.
