The Importance of Now...
Each day is a fresh start. But every moment of every day holds potential for new beginnings. -- Anonymous
We do not have to wait until Monday to get back in the program or clean a closet or tackle a difficult task. In fact, we do not have to wait until tomorrow morning, either. NOW is the moment to stop, to make a phone call, to begin wh**ever project or task we have been putting off.
There is no way we can change what we did five minutes ago, nor can we predict what will happen half an hour from NOW. We can only live in the NOW. We can only deal with NOW. The realities of ones life only unfold in the NOW MOMENTS. What we do ( or do not do ) NOW, creates ones future. It also creates ones past.
By doing what needs to be done RIGHT NOW, we make the most of each present moment. As long as we are alive, we are always free to begin again. Instead of following an old, worn habitual trail, why not make a fresh start in this NOW MOMENT on the rest of your life.
Today, I am free to start over any time I choose. I can only create in the NOW. I am aware of that NOW, because NOW, I live in the NOW MOMENT. Give me grace, Lord, to begin anew, NOW.
And the ultimate hypocrite ginsdale continues his old habitual worm trail by posting almost 5000 new topics, a lot more than responses received!

Yes today is the first day of the rest of your life. You can try to be like Christ, and if we fall short, we can be like his children when we mess up and ask for a clean slate on a new day.
