Why do we keep hearing the left harp about the Bush tax cuts. They expired at the end of 2010. Obama/Reid/Pelosi extended them for two years - and then made virtually all of them permanent. If the Bush tax cuts that expired were so bad to the left, why are they completely silent about these bad tax cuts made permanent by Obama. The blindness stuns.

I thought those tax cuts by Reagan expired at the start of this year ?

All I know is that the very high income tax rate is low compared to where it was in the 1950s. Since 1980s the 1%'s ownership of the economy is said to have grown from 25% to 50%--supposedly in large part from GOP (Reagan) income & inheritance tax changes. I suspect that is a gross exaggeration of stats and I suppose the "supposedlys" are not the entire picture--nevertheless, indication of a dangerous trend. One has to keep an eye on larger effects and status of situations as well as dates, figures, sources, etc.

Inheritance tax has little to do with it. I bet half of the Forbes 400 rich list are new money including the richest, Gates and Buffett.

Did you know Gates never donated to either party until Microsoft got hit with the antitrust suit?

If you read the book, "Extortion", it will tell you how it happened. I think that was in the 90's when Clinton was still in office. It is worse now.

Netscape had MS dead to rights but the DOJ stepped in. The MS claim was Internet Explorer could not be remove as it would disable Windows but was proven false as a programmer sat in the court and removed IE and Windows worked fine. Still use Netscape to this day.

Not that you are wrong, I don't know about that. But, after that they were hit again by the DOJ and the investigation was dropped after campaign contributions were made.

Oh I follow that case daily and MS was pulling all sorts of BS. IE was so bad Netscape was 20 bucks and IE was free, IE had half the users of Netscape until Windows made IE part of the OS. To this day I never used IE.

I don't use it either. Or Google or Yahoo. They supported Obama and I won't. But it was during that time that MS started supporting the Democrat party with campaign contributions. Now that isn't to say that they don't contribute to the Republicans too, from what I understood in the book they both extort contributions from big business. But, he also says it can't be proven because no one wants to take on the government. He had some statements from CEO's that said as much.
