What God likes and what God hates
\It is impossible to do Gods will if you dont know Gods will. Gods will can be separated into two different categories. Positive things we do to please God and negative things we avoid to avoid Gods disfavor. It is easy to please God. With God a little is a lot. If we read Micah 6:8 we can see Gods will for us. God wants us to think. He wants us to treat each other fairly. We should think before we speak or act because once we say or do something, it cant be undone or unsaid. It is unfair to take a mans children or usurp his authority in his house. It takes a man to raise a man to be a man. A woman cannot do it. She has never been a man and will never be a man. Life is different for men and women. It is unfair to point fingers. We are all sinners. If necessary, satan will find a diaper you soiled as an infant. Hoping everyone gets mad about the diaper and doesnt consider that we all come into this world as infants. He has to discredit your character because his logic is pathetic. Sin will have a negative effect on your life. Your sin wont effect me unless we are in a relationship. He loves mercy. If you want God to forgive you, you must forgive others. The word of God is meant to be followed and not policed. The only person we can make follow God is ourselves. We should walk humbly with God. We should not desire to be the center of attention. A servant is not greater than his master. Jesus didnt dress fancy and He walked everywhere He went. He actually cared for the people that came to hear Him speak. He never collected money. He and the disciples didnt sing and dance leading praise and worship. The words He spoke had meaning. Jesus said to beware of false prophets. Everything that looks good isnt good. There is a way that seems right but ends in death. God came to this planet and wrote the 10 Commandments with His finger in stone. If God says not to do it then we shouldnt do it. We shouldnt steal, murder, or commit adultery. America would better place to live if we followed these commandments instead of finding reasons not to do them. If someone is kind to us, we shouldnt lie to them. If someone is kind to us, we shouldnt even want what have. Anything that God hates, we shouldnt do. They are listed in Proverbs 6:16 - 19. I will cover them one by one.
A proud look - Christians should behave as if they have special privileges.
A lying tongue - God hates liars. They will be on the first train to hell.
Hands that shed innocent blood - The most innocent around us are unborn children. They have never uttered a cry, soiled a diaper, drank from a breast or bottle, or even taken their first breath. Abortion is wrong. The time to concern yourself with how you are going to feed a child is before you have sex. Killing a child to protect it doesnt make sense.
A heart that devises wicked imaginations - Wickedness can be defined as stealing, killing, and destroying. Lying can be included. People that make these actions a habit will always be failures.
Feet that be swift in running to mischief - We shouldnt look for reasons to do wrong. We should endure trials and tribulations for the greater good. It will work out better for you. God is in control. Seek and you shall find. If you look for trouble you will find it.
A false witness that speaks lies - These are people that because of their position they deserve our trust. Because of their sincerity we believe them. God can read your mind. Your faith means nothing if you say things you dont know to be true. Experience matters. Most of us live in our own head. The world inside our minds is more real to us than the room we are sitting in. If you are saying things you dont know to be true, you are a liar. God hates liars. This is the second time liars are mentioned on this short list.
He that sows discord among brothers - Christianity should build up the congregation and the individual. If we dont stand together, we will fall apart. If your church doesnt improve the quality of your life, find one that does.
None of these are hard or impossible. Life would be better if we did what God likes and avoid what He hates

What God likes and what God hates br br \It is im... (
show quote)
God is a spirit. How does a spirit know the difference between the truth and a lie. Do spirits have cognitive ability. Can they think? How? It's wonderful to sit here and debate what something we came up with in our imagination likes or dislikes--a bit like he is sitting in a restaurant with a menu he can't read and food he can't eat and deriving from that what in particular he would like to eat.

God can read your mind. He is extremely intelligent.

Unlike the liberals which are extremely dense and stupid.

It doesn't seem like we can stop them.

I've just gotta ask! Did you really say that with a straight face?

How does a spirit read anything much less a mind. And where does he gain his intelligence. He is a spirit, how does he gain his cognitive ability?

Yes, very straight. We are able to think because we have the electrical synapses of a mind. We can love and hate because of the chemicals that create our emotions. As a spirit god has none of that so how can god think to be able to create. How can he love or hate us when he lacks the physical attributes that make it necessary? How can a god be a god when he all he is is a spirit and nothing more?

I believe God created the universe and all in it, so not having an electrical synapses or physical attributes would be no problem! His ways are higher than our ways! That's what the bible says. I take that to mean that we are incapable to fully understand him and what he is capable of doing or has done.

God existed Before anything else. I think God has a better reason not to believe in you. You didn't exist until after 1900. You will be dead in less than 100 years. If you see an intelligent design without an intelligent designer, that shows a lack of introspect. I can make pancakes. I would question the intelligence of anyone who asked who made the pancakes I was eating.

Well if he created the universe how is it we are able to unravel it's mysteries? I don't think man lacks the ability to understand god at all--in fact that's the problem; we do have the ability to understand and there is no way for a non physical entity to manipulate the physical atoms that make up the real world. That's the problem with spiritual gods--they can exist in our minds but they lack the ability to exist any place else.

Peter, this is where you and I must agree to disagree. I have read the never-ending arguments on the existence of God. Nothing is going to change either one of our minds. I believe in God and I have no need to understand how he did it, you on the other hand don't, and you need that knowledge of how creation was accomplished. I have enjoyed reading those arguments and I always learn something from them from both sides.
