President Richard W. Nixon signed the law passed in our U.S. Congress to remove the U.S. dollars from the Gold Standard to increase the deficit and the Federal debts, and allowed our U.S. Federal Reserve Bank to print daily f**e U.S. dollars paper with no buying power to pay the U.S. debts. increasing the Federal deficit for 53 years, and the INFLATION we have now. Now Republicans right-wing nuts members of U.S. Congress shutdown the Federal Government for the deficit and the Federal debts, but they didn't shutdown the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank printing press because the 535 members of U.S. Congress received their own salaries from the paper dollars printing press.

President Richard W. Nixon signed the law passed i... (show quote)

You mean the president and left wing democrat nuts shut down the government until they got their way! As far as Nixon taking us off the gold standard, both houses of congress were controlled by democrats at the time and the president can only sign what congress sends to him.

Before you send an e-mail engage your brain, if you have one, President NIXON had a choice, signed the law to remove the U.S. dollars from the Gold standard or VETO the law, he signed the law to print U.S. paper dollars with no guaranty, and spent all the money they want increasing the inflation we have now and the devaluation of the U.S. dollar overseas and in U.S.A.

I understand there is an interest to reintrduce the gold
standard. I think Europe is gradually moving the euro to some
partial backing. If we did that here, there would be some
dislocatons, butit might work. I don't think it will happen
here. Google Executive Order 11110, Kennedy's move to give
congress the authority to make coinage and currency. It didn't
get very far.

The european countries can't print the "EURO" like we print U.S. dollars paper here, before the U.S. dollars paper had good buying power because everything was made in U.S.A. and every country bought back in U.S. with the same dollars they had, but after the big manufacturers left U.S. to 3er world countries everything here now is made in CHINA, INDIA, MEXICO, So. KOREA, JAPAN, etc. etc. I don't believe the U.S. can return to the Gold Standard because the deficit now is almost 17 trillion dollars and required too much GOLD to guaranty the U.S. dollars again.

If you had a brain you would have understood that the bankers owned the democrats long before the republicans succumbed to the FED. You would also understand that republicans like Cruz and Paul are doing everything they can do to free the s***es from the FED. The majority in both parties are not the friends of the American people.
