That reminds me. Several years ago a friend bought a bar and I helped him manage it when he wasn't there. Over the restroom doors were two signs written in Chinese. A couple years went by and no-one knew what the signs said, but he put more signs up saying men and women. one day an oriental guy came in and we asked him if he knew what the signs said. He said he didn't know, but his parents would probably know. So he went out to his car and got his camera and took pictures of the signs. and said he'd let us know. He came back in about a month later and told us what the signs said. The one over the Women's room said "Smoked Salmon" and the one over the men's room said "Smoker". We left the signs up for just a curiosity.

Back in the good old days when I was with the Army in Germany I read a thing in the Readers Digest about a southerner said he had about given up on finding the men's room in German bars since they all said Herren and Frauen. Poor man just couldn't understand that his room was Herren, he thought it was her en.
