Bubble gum Christianity

Maturity and development cannot be taught. They can only be learned from experience. Sometimes the wrong lessons are learned. The right thing to do is read the word of God and let the Holy Ghost speak to our hearts and guide our actions. What I mean by bubble gum Christianity is making Christianity like going to a gum machine. When we go to a gum machine we put in a quarter and get a gumdrop. Bubble-gum Christianity is offering to God tithes, praise, offerings, and worship, and expecting God to do for us what we should do for ourselves. We are promised instant results. Maturity and development are not taught. We are taught a do nothing feel good religion and have become like hothouse lilies that will only survive in perfect conditions. We come to church expecting God to do something for us, instead of following God’s instructions for our life. We come looking to get instead of give. satan has deceived the whole world. When those deceived encounter anyone who reads the word of God, lets the Holy Spirit speak to his heart and guide his actions there will be conflict. They will disagree with everything you say and do. But enduring trials and tribulations to live Godly pleases God. It will work out in your favor because God is in control.

As I understand Christianity, what is absolutely fundamental, we do nothing, cannot be, righteous for ourselves.
