Random Thoughts From "Okie Don's" Friends...

My goal for 2016 WAS to lose just 10 pounds. Only 15 to go.

Ate salad for dinner! Mostly croutons & tomatoes. Really just one big, round crouton covered with tomato sauce. And cheese. FINE, it was a pizza. I ate a pizza.

How to prepare Tofu:
1. Throw it in the trash.
2. Grill some Meat.

I just did a week's worth of cardio after walking into a spider web.

I don't mean to brag but......I finished my 14-day diet in 3 hours and 20 minutes.

A read of a recent study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than men who mention it.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Senility has been a smooth t***sition for me.

Remember back when we were kids and every time it was below zero outside, they closed school?
Me neither.

I may not be that funny or athletic or good looking or smart or talented....I forgot where I was going with this.

I love being over 60 I learn something new every day.......and forget 5 others.

A thief broke into my apartment last night......He started searching for money, so I woke up and searched with him.

Enjoy the day! ;)

I may get called to task on this post but I posted it for the main menu and as far as I know it didn't make the list on the main section. Since Don named this thread random thoughts, I am going to try to get away with using his topic to post an opinion or a random thought. If I anger anyone for trying to slip this in on a non-political site please forgive my feeble mind.. Paid for by the Armi for stupid campaign.....

The Trap Women fall into when getting involved in politics.

The recent remarks about women being punished for having an a******n has gone v***l in all the media outlets.

Donald Trump is being accused of being a woman h**er or user-abuser.
Like “The Donald” or not, the race for the White House has always been a “Big Boy” undertaking.

Women need to understand; they are seeking another "first" just as Obama was when he ran as the first black president.

Not being a fan of the present president, I did however v**e for him the first time. As we all must know, being the first black president, he had many undue and unkind remarks thrown at him during his run for not just the White House, but also to be the first black leader of the greatest nation ever.

Do women think they, or one who is of the same g****r, can handle not only the primary process and the general e******n stress and expect that they are to be treated like a “Lady”? Or should they be subject to the same disrespectful remarks that are slung back and forth among the
“Big Boys”?

Politics is a dirty business and that has been the history of such since the first e******n not just in America but in ancient times.
It is a sad state of affairs when the front-runner has to fend off attacks not only from the opposition party, but also by his/her own party leaders.

We seem to be forgetting, the reason Donald Trump has roared to the top is because of the disgust of the normal misuse of office by professional politicians. Change involves patience.

Donald Trump is a professional no doubt, but not a professional politician; no doubt he has much to learn. However, he is a master at gathering people around him to advise and help him in this new endeavor.

Men and women alike need to remember what the American v**ers are saying. We want a leader who will put Americans and America first. That is going to involve some good and some bad. Trump is an "advocate supreme" of erasing completely the dangerous political correctness that has been one of the many negative causes of the divisions in our nation.

The bottom line of this rant is:
Donald Trump is not the normal run of the mill professional sweet lipped Washington establishment candidate.

Can he be the leader we need? Who really knows until he is tested.

Remember the great phrase that came out of Washington, “We will have to pass the bill to see what is in it.” The result Obama Care.

Remember, I can change America with a pen and phone? What has happened? A business can no longer have the right to refuse service to anyone. On and on we can go with the subtle destruction of individual freedoms because of political correctness.

Ladies, You truly are the fairer sex, if you are going to do what has been a man’s job, then learn that you must play with the same deck.

You want to have the brief case with the code for the big bomb then put your big boy pants on and enjoy what it means to be tough.

I will, I'll tell you we certainly do have e******y, its a matter of what you will tolerate and what you do to insure your e******y...

Women are not represented in holding "office" as the men do out number them, but v****g wise, women carry a strong v****g base and is why we are "courted so much come e******ns"..You want more women then v**e them in but based on being the one most aligned for the job, not simply because they are female..Women are no more suppressed than anyone else although still a minority as defined..That gives us a certain amount of advantages like owning our own business, and protections under the laws etc..

Edit added~~ As someone just pointed out we represent 52.31% of the "minority base"..Pretty good numbers if you ask me..Yes?

Good morning Arm~~ I don't need to put my big boy pants on and get tough..I can wear my pretty lil dress and be as tough as the next when needed...

Likewise we are of different sexes for a reason and we or at least I very much enjoy my g****r...I also don't need to play by the same deck..Remember our Criminal Hill has been run by mostly men and I wouldn't go bragging about the screwed mess it is in...

Prior to what the 20's, women couldn't even v**e and now look at those percentages..Women have and can turn the v**e to one or the other just as you men can...We represent the balance of the v**es now and take our position and role in that very serious...Traditionally v****g Dem's because I think we are the negotiator that looks for to unite rather than divide...I really do not know..I am republican by party although quit v****g "party" years ago..I now v**e those most aligned to my position, isn't that how you v**e??

For me in this e******n my statement is I am damn s**k of political rhetoric and politicians..I am also done with same ole, same ole, and v**ed Trump in my primary and will do so again in the general..If the RNC throws this e******n on that brokered convention BS or by changing the rules the week before the general you can bet I'll spend the next 4 years being sure another party other than the GOP/RNC is formed and in order....

Yes, women do recognize the "disrespectful remarks slung back and forth by all candidates and frankly I am s**k of it and all of them for it..Screw what someone's wife did or didn't do..I could careless..I want slinging remarks over "positions of this country" and what they intend to do about them!!!! That's what my v**e will be based on...

Then, tell me, shy do we have a predominantly male Congress making decisions regarding women's health? I was under the impression that this subject was settled over 50 years ago and suddenly our male Congress decides to bring it up again.

Just my opinion here but dare I suggest it is because women on the whole don't really get themselves involved in the "political arena" format as much as we do participate in the v****g process..

Many go to a certain point and then because for women it is family and children first they really do not want what it will take away from them in that "more important aspect" of their lives...

Some have advanced and done very well and if more were interested in doing so there are equal employment opportunity laws on the books that could be used, if needed...

Likewise as I pointed out the Houses are predominantly men and there is always that bias that maybe a women is not qualified, but like I said there are laws on the books that if a women feels she is being discriminated against could utilize..Years ago that was not the case..Susan B. Anthony started the process of the womens rights suffrage movement, remember?? And what was it the late 1800's when a certain number of states did allow v****g..And 1920 gave right of all women and and states to allow women to v**e..They had also started working on wages for women too....The movement was under way and in that push came our passage..Thank God for them right??

From that came, birth control, discrimination laws for female employees, sexual discrimination acts, and your concern and interest in 1970? I think, the jobs for men and women must be equal and equal in wages..One we all know and may or may not like Roe v Wade~1973..Another I am personally aware of and have worked on cases of it, are, the rights of women to sue for punitive damages (big money hits to the wrong doer) under sexual discrimination, job discrimination act of 1999..

So, yes, there are inequities in the houses and not many females, but there are some that chose that path and established themselves as the most worthy for the job and got it...22 Senators, 39 or 40 have served or are serving as Governors, I think, if memory serves me correctly??? Something like that, just not sure this moment..Inequity, yes, the United States ranks pretty dang low on women in official offices and has all along..

We represent 52-54% of the v****g base, in the last e******n numbers anyway, and our v**e can enforce the push for more females representatives if we just do it and want it...

What do you think??
