Luke 24:1-7 King James Version (KJV)1. Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

In the spirit of Easter, I was going to let your sanctimonious diatribe pass; however, such will not be the case.
Exactly where in my topic did the mention of a bunny or eggs appear?
For brevity sake, I removed religion of the chorus. Mayhaps, you should take, more to heart, the words of the Hallelujah Chorus.
Hallelujah ChorusFor the lord God omnipotent reigneth
Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah
The kingdom of this world
Is become
The kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ
And of His Christ
And He shall reign forever and ever
King of kings (Forever and ever hallelujah hallelujah)
King of kings forever and ever
And lord of lords hallelujah hallelujah
And he shall reign forever, forever and ever
King of kings and lord of lords
King of kings and lord of lords
And he shall reign forever and ever (And he shall reign forever and ever)

Let us think about this is the time of the resurrection of our Lord.
We could consider the image of an egg. An egg is the beginning of new life. With the resurrection of our Lord, we began what could be considered a new life.
If we consider the Easter egg hunt, we could interpret that hunt to be our hunt for a new beginning through our Lord's resurrection.
So, although you have an aversion to the commercialization of this most sacred holiday, there are other ways that we could use the commercialization as a lesson for this time or rebirth.
