Too subtle for the constituency of the plutocrat representatives

Trickle down economics; no minimum wage; war against unions; resisting equal pay for women; child labor making a comeback; subsidies for Corporate America without drug testing; no prosecution of banks or mortgage companies that operated illegally and stole houses from middle class America; a renewed effort by plutocrat representatives (Republicans) to allow a repeat of 2008; an effort by plutocrat representatives to take away all environmental laws safeguarding our children and the future; tax cuts for the rich that have already ruined three states this year; denying children and the elderly food and medical care to compensate for tax cuts to the elite.

Sorry for the very short list of offenses by the heartless and greedy Right.

Trickle down economics; no minimum wage; war again... (show quote)

What do you mean, no minimum wage? War against unions? You mean the same Unions that donate millions of dollars to candidates who pass laws that outsource US jobs overseas? Those unions?

What "subsidies?" We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world. No prosecution of banks and mortgage companies? Obama had the House and Senate for 3 years and got nothing done, and had the Senate for five years, plus his "pen and phone." You mean the same banks and mortgage companies that pulled this crap because of Frank-Dodd? Let's see, Frank and Dodd were which party?

Take away environmental laws? The same EPA that brought you the Animas River spill that poisoned thousands of square miles of aquifer? The same EPA that is crucifying the coal industry which is by far the cleanest in the world?

Denying food and medical care to the elderly to compensate for tax cuts to the elite? Is that what you call the wetbacks that cost US taxpayers nearly 100 billion dollars every year? I thought they were just wetbacks. I should probably get out more.
Got news for ya. The "elite" only pay taxes on a small portion of their income. The rest is socked away in tax shelters provided as much by the Democrats as the Republicans. Multi-national corporations donated more money to Democrats in 2012 and 2014 than to Republicans, and Obama's 2012 re-e******n received about 20% of it's financing from Wall St related firms. That is the most in the history of this country. Do you think they were motivated by compassion? Or just maybe they expect a quid pro quo?

The "heartless and greedy right?" Most of the finance laws that benefit the "elite" you rail about were passed by Democrats, and the ones that weren't were not repealed when they had the chance to do so.

Thank you Loki. I was going to write a long response to these zany accusations, but you saved me some effort with an excellent response. My comments can be shorter. Fiat loves to call others dense, poor at English comprehension, missing a frontal lobe. etc., but it is she who is working with mashed potatoes for brains.

Fiat, you are clearly ignorant of economics. So let me help you understand. What you lovingly call Trickle Down Economics is a derogatory term for Supply-Side Economics. It was a resounding success in the 1980s at d**gging America out of the worst economic mess since the Great Depression. Unemployment and inflation were both in double digits when Reagan took over from Jimmie Carter. Reagan's Supply-Side Economics featured business tax cuts and a roll-back on many onerous business regulations. The result was a tremendous increase in business growth that generated millions of new jobs for unemployed middle-class America. Supply-Side Economics kicked off the longest, strongest economic expansion in US history. And we were lucky enough to have two Presidents, Bush Sr. and Clinton who continued the Supply-Side economics resulting in another powerful economic expansion through the 1990s that rivaled the Reagan expansion. Unfortunately, since then, economic policy has drifted far in the other direction toward high taxes and onerous regulations that are k*****g business and jobs. The US is currently tied for the eighth highest business tax rate in the world, and Obama's EPA has passed 3600 new regulations against business in seven years. This has stifled business growth to the point that for the first time since the Great Depression, business closings outnumber business openings. The current business expansion is the weakest since the Great Depression. Fiat, I suppose you are proud of that!

Fiat, what are you talking about resisting "equal pay for women". If you care to open your eyes, women "have" equal pay. Capitalism and competition caused the equal pay. All the numbers and research are available at www.bls.gov. The only people claiming unequal pay are lying Democrats who are trying to gain v**es form women. Unfortunately the lies work -- just observe your stupid comment. The facts are that given a specific occupation and tenure, men and women receive equal pay. But women choose occupations different form men, occupations that do not pay as much due to lower sk**l requirements. More men are engineers, doctors, and lawyers, while more women are secretaries, waitresses, and sewing machine operators. You cannot really expect to demand that a secretary be paid as much as a doctor. Also, men are willing, more than women, to work in dangerous and dirty construction and mining occupations. These differences push pay for men well ahead of pay for women. There are occupations like teaching where men and women work in similar numbers and the pay is the same, except for tenure. And that is true of all occupations. Men do not typically take years off work to raise families. Women cannot reasonably expect to return to work and receive pay equal to men who have many more years experience. ALL of the difference in pay between men and women is due to these differences. Forget about bias. If a woman has the sk**l and the experience, she is going to get the job and the pay. That is what capitalism and competition is about.

Oh heck Fiat, let's do one more. You talk about tax cuts to the elite. So you apparently think that you are paying to much tax while the wealthy don't pay enough -- right? Well----- check this out. The top ten percent of all income earners pay 71 percent of all federal income taxes. The bottom50 percent pay only 3 percent of all federal income taxes. And that covers only those with income. There is a huge segment of the population with no income who are living on the government dole. They are not in the quoted percentages. So Fiat, where are you in these numbers? Are you among the half of all workers who pay almost nothing in taxes, or are you among the lazy, living on the dole, and complaining that the rich aren't giving them enough?

Why shouldn't the top 10% pay 71% of the taxes....they own much more than that as a share of the wealth of this country.

For one too many years now, your dip stick democrats have forced the increase in the national debt ceiling. Yes you dip stick democrats do that each year. WHY? To be able to borrow the money to simply pay the interest on our nation debt. Why is our national debt so frigging much? Because you dip stick democrats spend money we do not have like water. YOUR chimp in office has out spent all the prior existing presidents all added up and combined in a mere 7 plus years....

Rumi go get dry AND sober...your mind really sucks!
