You are welcome. There is something about trains that has much more magic than planes can ever have.

NPP, I loved it.

My love for the railroad started when I was about a year old. We lived across the street from a Milwaukee Rd. track.
In the winter, I could hear the train coming and I'd go to the window, pull the curtain aside and stand there waving.
The engineer had to blow the horn, because he was coming to a crossing - but I always thought he blew it for me.

The best job in the world - working for a railroad.

Railroads, particularly steam engines have fascinated us since they were invented. Planes aren't even in sight and diesels a distant second. Model railroads are the biggest hobby ever. This is the best I have seen but there is another in Europe, Germany I think that is huge also. Thanks for sharing it with us.

This is also great.

When I was a kid my brother and I used to walk about a mile to a place where we could watch the freight trains go by many steam engines of course as it was the middle 1940's. Unfortunately there were a number of hobo camps and the area became dangerous for kids to stay around. But the sound and smell of the engines and all the cars hauling Americas future are one of my best remembrances of childhood.
