The stupid rally cry of 'we need to take the country back' is explained in this commentary. Teatards must all be afflicted with malignant regressive genes in their malfunctioning little brains.

The posted article makes the case against the Tea Party. The belittling epithets for the Tea Party followers are a distraction and detraction to the message of the article--in the manner of the Tea Party posters, in fact. I'll admit I've been tempted to imitate them in that way myself. ha.

You would do well to emulate the Tea Party Patriots rather than the L*****t propagandists such as your mentor Bo.

I don't know who Bo is. Sorry, old guy (and I'm probably older than you), I don't judge or follow people by the titles they give themselves. I'm sure the Know Nothing Party of the 1850s considered themselves the true patriots and defenders of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They weren't.

Edmund Burke agreed (reluctantly) that the original Boston Tea Party had a point in Brit accepted principles. He would not be so kind regarding those who claim to be a Tea Party today. Neither would Washington, Hamilton, the 2 Adams, Madison, Webster, Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Truman, Nixon, LBJ, Reagan, the 2 Bushes, or in fact any President--with possible exception of Andrew Jackson. ha. I consider them true Americans and patriots. Yes, the TP is as American as apple pie but then so were the Know Nothings...just rather sour apples involved.

A very similar article was published in the Economist magazine (a somewhat conservative publication) in 2009. The article quotes Richard Hofstadter, the author of "The Paranoid Style in American Politics" as pointing out that "political paranoia - a mix of anger, heated exaggeration, suspiciousness and conspiratorial fantasy - was mostly evident on the extreme right. "

Looking over these posts i would say that's a bit of a stretch old chum.
The Democrats are somewhat quiet right now because their man is in the White House. The Republicans are still in therapy over losing 2 e******ns in a row hence the rage and excessive paranoia. Eventually they must move into the acceptance stage, then resolution because if they don't then the party of Lincoln will be consigned to the dustbin of history...not a preferred outcome
for the political equilibrium of the country.
