This is related to some information I posted previously. I decided to dumb it down a bit, since people didn't seem to get it.
First, a few statements of fact.
Information is immaterial. It has its own existence, independent of matter or energy.
Matter and energy are used to t***smit or store information, but are not the information.
Information is the result of intelligence.
DNA contains Information. Therefore, it is the result of intelligence.
Can anyone refute any of these facts?

Without matter or energy (actually the same things...E=mc2) there can be no information. Information does not exist in a void.
Matter and energy are information. They are necessary to calculate such things as mass, velocity, and force.
Since your first two premises are mistaken your conclusion is also mistaken.
DNA does contain information....because it is made of matter (or energy, depending on what you are looking for).

That was not the form of the previous argument.
No, DNA cannot spontaneously spring into existence. It must evolve from mutations.
