Limbaugh: Kasich, GOP establishment 'truly delusional'

'This operation is theirs. It has been their life'
In the wake of Tuesday’s e******n results, radio host Rush Limbaugh is calling John Kasich and those in the Republican Party establishment “truly delusional” for working to ensure the Ohio governor secures the GOP nomination at a contested convention this summer.

Kasich scored his sole primary victory by winning his home state Tuesday, and then Wednesday morning appeared by phone on NBC’s “Today” show to proffer his analysis of the win:

“Neither Cruz nor Trump can win the general e******n,” Kasich said. “You know they can’t come into Ohio with the philosophies they have and win. If you can’t win Ohio, you can’t be president.

“Nobody’s gonna get enough delegates to win at the convention. Everyone’s gonna fall short, and that’s what was so big about Ohio. I’m not out to stop Donald Trump or stop anybody else. By winning yesterday in Ohio, I’ve dealt him a very, very, big blow to being able to have the number of delegates [to secure the nomination].”

Hillary for prosecution, not president! Join the sizzling campaign to put Mrs. Clinton where she really belongs

An incredulous Limbaugh immediately commented on Kasich during his national broadcast Wednesday:

“What the hell are you talking? What do you mean, ‘I’m not out to stop Donald Trump or anyone else,’ and then, ‘By winning yesterday, I’ve dealt him a very, very, big blow?’ We’re stuck in the middle of a bunch of people here who are truly delusional.”

Limbaugh noted the powers that be who run the Republican Party will stop at nothing to prevent Trump or even Sen. Ted Cruz from becoming the party’s standard-bearer in the November p**********l e******n.

“We had Republican establishment types promoting John Kasich on CNN and on Fox last night, because John Kasich represents the last stand, the last chance they’ve got,” he explained.

The wise men and the smart money says that there is no way that the powers that be will deny Trump or Cruz once we get to Cleveland. They just won’t do it. It can’t happen. It won’t happen. Too many people will have v**ed. And I’m sorry, folks, I don’t think that’s automatic because of the way I know the people in the Republican establishment that we are all talking about here.

This crowd is very stubborn. They have not come to grips with what’s happened to them here. They by no means have accepted that the top two delegate getters are outsiders and are not part of the Republican Party ranking establishment in any way. … And the reason they haven’t come to grips with it is that they don’t want to. This operation is theirs. It has been their life. They trained for it in college. They trained for it with family connections. They trained for it, they got involved in it, and they climbed the ladder within it from the moment of young adulthood, those that wanted to be in it that early.

Some have been recruited, of course, over the years because they’ve recently acquired a lot of money and therefore have influence. But for the most part these are lifers. They fear losing their virtual professional existence. They fear losing their self-worth, the thing that gives them swagger. The thing that validates their success is their position in this club, the establishment, the Republican Party, and in fact the entire Washington establishment.

They’re not just gonna let some outsiders come in and take it. It just isn’t going to happen. The thing to keep in mind here, these people to whom I’m referring, they have all of this whether the party wins or loses e******ns. That’s the key. They have all of the perks and the power, the lifestyles, the connections, even if they lose e******ns. As long as they run the party, as long as they run their part of the, quote, unquote, establishment. They fear losing their standing in this club more than they fear the party losing the presidency or any other e******n.

And let’s talk about other members of the establishment. Let’s talk about other conservative media types. How about the people who – and this is not personal. But how about the people whose very lives are dev**ed to the intellectual pursuit of conservatism, supposedly? They may have magazines. They may be at think tanks. They may be policy aides. They might be legislative aides. But their existence is to continue to write about the superiority and the preferability of conservatism. That’s the role they play in this whole arrangement. That’s the reason for their existence. That’s what gives them their swagger. They are considered leading opinion makers and opinion leaders. They are considered superior intellects when it comes to the intellectual pursuits of conservatism.

What is the reason for their existence if Trump wins the White House? The think-tank people, what would be the point? Trump has not welcomed them, they haven’t welcomed Trump, Trump is not going to be identified as a movement conservative who is going to be seeking the advice of these people. You think they’re not paranoid? Their whole lives have been rooted and based on that identity. They’re the go-to guys to explain the conservative view of the Middle East. They are the go to guys to explain the conservative view of Putin and the Ukraine and China and wh**ever. And now they’re on the outs because nobody will be interested. Theoretically.

Now, they could make a move here and try to sidle up to Trump if and when the day comes, but they don’t want that to happen. They’re scared. I mean, their identities, their self-worth, they’re just not going to peacefully let all this happen.

The only reason they do not want Trump is that they are afraid they will not be allowed to work the money train. That is the only reason the Rhino's are against Trump. The rich will have to bring their money back into the States. Romney the corporate raider might not make his millions.

people who barely finished high school are not in a position to call others stupid, especially when finishing high school might be overestimating their abilities.

Rush is right 98.7% of the time. On this one, he nailed it. Reince Preibus (and the powers that be) WILL do wh**ever it takes to prevent Trump or Cruz from getting the nod. If this means a contested (or brokered) convention, then that is what they will do. Working out the strategy was the primary purpose of the big meeting the establishment Repubs held on an island off Georgia last week. IF the convention is contested (or brokered), guess who gets the cookie? Kasich or Jeb Bush.

I think the GOP is trying to remain nationally appealing. Leave it to the conservatives, all the GOP will win will be a few gerrymandered southern congressional areas, but nothing nationally, especially when texas turns blue. texas, ny and ca will be all one needs, throw in a couple of swing states and it is a wrap. The establishment GOP are the smart ones.the real right and tea party.trump types are only thinking about their agenda, which is regional. the RINO's as the mad right calls them, are still thinking nationally-to win the Superbowl and not just midterms....................they are the ones that will save the party from extinction-not those who threaten r**ts if they do not get the nomination.

An open letter to all supporters of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz
cc; the RNC

To date a full 80% of Republican primary v**ers have chosen either Trump of Cruz.

The RNC and Gov. Kassich are apparently intent upon HIGH-JACKING their own process, in order to promote the choice of the RNC. This must be STOPPED!

If you support either Trump or Cruz, then PLEASE contact the RNC, by phone, by mail, by e-mail (gop.com)or all three, and tell them that they will receive no support from you until they and Gov. Kassich get the hell out of the way and let the Republican V**ERS choose our candidate.

Contact the RNC every day, post this letter any place you can, its high time that we, the V**ERS, lead our party back to greatness. Obviously the RNC is failing to do so.

A MILLION E-MAILS CAN NOT BE IGNORED!

Please share this with anyone who cares.

Any additional contact information for the RNC that readers can provide will be appreciated.

Bob

I think double b****ts went out to Kasich v**ers telling them the b****ts were flawed and to resubmit their v**e. Sounds plausible to me since I have seen a lot of trickery in politics in Ohio.

If the GOP establishment is arrogant enough to dismiss the will of their party then the party will be through and it may sound the death knell for all the entrenched politicians in both parties.
When the GOP elite came out yesterday with claims to back Cruz after they have slandered him so much in the past, when even the Democrats came out with such vitriol against Trump and advised the GOP to stop him and choose another nominee I knew that the whole Washington establishment is afraid of Trump, why?

They are afraid of Trump because he wants to cut out all the perks that have made these turncoats greedy. I believe he really does love America and he is not a mafiosa like Cruz said. Romney did blow it with the 47 per cent and he knows it but is afraid he will have to bring all the money he made from corporate raiding back into the country. The others are all rich creeps who also will have to bring their money back and are against Trump. The senate and house have a lot to lose and should.
