Well Marvin
Looks like I touched a nerve of a Socialist.
Tough
By they way J-off. In a competitive market, business has to compete for the better employees and offers what you speak of without government intervention.
Our competitive market for employees started over a hundred years ago with Henry Ford.
Others followed suit. It took a while. But they did.
You can not use some of the countries largest employers, ( government and unions ) which you sound like a socialist member of. Governemnts produce socialistic like environments that don't produce squat. Unions are for certain socialistic by nature but effect only themselves and competitors. By the way , they have greatly dissipated other than in government and then there is the glorious TEACHERS UNIONS.
Most headway for workers were in fact unions who weren't chartered socialist. The powerful at the time tried to label them socialist but to anyone with a little smarts that did not fly. In their time and place unions had a place. A good one.
Socialism was not their driving force nor their credo. Some of the results in their early days were good and helped produce the middle class. Beginning with the Molly Maguires. They fought for better standards without any affiliations with socialism.
Like baby ducks mindlessly following mamma, quack on.
Peabrain.
If you would, or could, please supply a reference as to were socialistic governments have been successful for the masses.
That was what this posting was about. Your rant is very typical. I hope that nerve of yours that suffered an ow-weee from
my posting heals up before you totally flip out. Comrade
You and Kevin could start a two man club here on Opp.
It will grow. I think there are 4 or 5 more of you types here.
:-P :-P

Stupid ignoramus! You are enjoying an 8-hour day, paid vacations, sick days, and pensions because socialists and, yes, c*******ts got beaten up by company goons and cops and national guard weekend soldiers on picket lines during the 20's and 30's.
