This is interesting because he chairs the House immigration subcommittee and while admitting the GOP mistake, he also states the Senate bill will not be a priority (loss of trust with Senate/POTUS). The Greenville News quotes him:

I need to go home and work on being more persuasive myself, and hopefully my colleagues will have a period of self-reflection and evaluate why theyre in public service as well.

I hope he concludes that most folks in his district just want him to work with others and get things done with practical give-and-take to promote conservative values instead of hurting it.

Now the GOP wants him to go back to the SC 4th Congressional District and explain why:
1. he disagreed with the strategy
2. he v**ed with the GOP proposals anyway
3. it didn't work and hurt the GOP

He shouldn't have been put in a tough spot like this for such a traditionally strong Republican district. He will be criticized from half for being too quick to follow the Tea Party crowd and the remaining who believe he is not conservative enough.

It will be interesting to see if he tilts toward the Tea Party or moderate values.

Since President Obama got elected, and then re-elected, one can say that he did, and is doing what he was elected to do. I agree with you that the president is honorable.

The majority of them now regret that decision, since they are seeing what he has done to their health insurance! Not to mention the 90 Million Americans who are out of work thanks to Obama!
