It is even better when you are there in person. The whales are huge and they seem to know where you are and when they have a calf the mother is usually very proud and wants to show off her baby.

Yup. I have been close to them (grey whales) in S**mmon's Lagoon down in Baja California. Quite spectacular. Also been close to k**ler whales in the straits of Georgia in British Columbia. :mrgreen:

Great!!! When staying in Bellingham, Wa., I saw Orca's swimming right from the balcony of the apt....They were beautiful to watch....

I remember visiting some oyster huts/bars in Bellingham in the early 60s when I lived in Vancouver,BC. They had great oysters. :mrgreen:

Ever go to Mt. Baker?? I had some there that were excellent..Its also a beautiful mountain area...Skied on it..

Yup, skied it back in the early 60s. Also used to go up there in the summertime and watched people skiing in their bathing suits . :-D

Was only there for four months and could not wait to leave..Oct. to Feb..rain, sleet, ice, and snow..Never any sun, always over cast, my body needs sunnnnnn..Couldn't leave fast enough....But from there to Cali~~now that's liven~~ :thumbup: :wink:

Yup. I know what you mean. It is pretty wet west of the Cascades. The year I left Vancouver in February we had 28 days of rain. If it had been a leap year it would have been 29. :twisted:
