Should we expect a victorious glorious life in Christ?
In Matthew 9:12, Mark 2:17 and Luke 5:32 Jesus says He came not for the righteous but for sinners. Jesus is coming to calm a stormy sea and rescue His children from persecution and tribulation. God says He will wipe all tears from their eyes. If God has said He will wipe tears then tears should be there. We all go through the same things. We all come into this world as infants, grow up, grow old, and die. For some reason we believe we are unique and nobody goes through what we go through. It is a mistake to blame the past for the present. For any person that uses their parent’s alcoholism as an excuse for their alcoholism there is a person who won’t even drink a little because they were around alcohol as a child and don’t like the smell. We have been deceived that the things we have been through as a child cannot be overcome and that present circumstances cannot be overcome. We all have to get over something and maturity and growth come mainly from ruining our life making poor choices. The only ones getting blessings in Revelation, the 2nd and 3rd chapter, are the ones that overcome in all seven of the churches. The truth of God’s word will outlast everything on this planet including this planet itself according to Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31 and Luke 21:33. Right now we have blind leading blind. We have people teaching bible who don’t understand bible. The saddest thing to consider is that the blind man following another blind man will not find out that his guide is blind until calamity occurs. We are being misled and deceived. The people leading pep rallies and singing songs never teach the lessons Jesus taught or anything God said to the prophets. None of us are any closer to God than anyone else. It doesn’t matter if you feel you are saved or lost. If your feelings disagree with God’s word then your feelings are wrong. Read the prophets, the Gospels, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. If satan has deceived the whole world and you are teaching truth then people will tell you that you are wrong. There will be fighting’s within and fears without.

In Jer 35 God asks the kenites to drink wine and they refuse because their father told them not to, they got a blessing for being loyal. Of the seven churches in Rev only two were approved by Christ, the other five had their candlesticks removed. If you mind me asking, what type of bible do you read from?

Should we expect a victorious glorious life in Chr... (show quote)

Christ was murdered by a kangaroo court, humiliated by dying between two thieves....is that how you define victory? Give me a messiah that kicks butt.

Expectations of any sort are both a sham and a great danger.

Even the dead churches? Yea you might have an something there, but how can you overcome (overcomer is not a word) as a true Christian in the Church of Christ. No one can pluck you out from the hand of God.

Adding to your interpretation for one, BTW I've asked you questions in the past and mostly has been unanswered, just letting you know cause it sent me a different message, or do you think silence is golden.

It's your post, it common courtesy to reply to questions even if you think the person doesn't deserve a response. But now I know your stance on this.

If the question doesn't make sense I can't answer.
